Is my room too hot?

Ok ive just added another 4 cfl's arround my main plant, i have 3 thermometers in my room, 2 directly under the two hood i have, which both hold 6 cfl's and thy are reading temps of arround 88, the other thermometer is nowere near the hoods and reading about 82 - 84. My main plant is in a corner where the temps are the highest 88, which is obviously down to the 2 hoods (1 above her and the other next to it over 3 younger ones) and also 8 cfls arround the main 1 in the corner, what im wanting to know is is this too hot, if not what is the max temp to stay under? im thinking im going to have to instal an extractor fan and get some ducting just under the hoods to remove the heat. What do you all think?

Yea , thats alittle to warm 70-78 is ideal and about a 10 degree difference when lights are off .

Lower temps will really be an asset. Higher temps, the plants get like me in the heat, lethargic.
(ok, I'm that way most of the time)

So whats likely happen to my 5' sativa which is in the corner where all the heat is, the one surrounded by all the bulbs, temps about 86 -88, shes got about 2 - 3 weeks left before harvest, will it effect my buds/yield?

Probably, but don't sweat it. I saw that plant and was gonna comment that it looked kinda gangly, but had a *killer* looking top bud! nice job!!!!

The heat will make them fluffier, or so I've been told. Its a great plant and keep doing what you have been doing. but if its easy enough, try to drop the temps if ya can.

Thanks, the temps were arround 80 untill i added these 4 new bulbs, the room is oblong and i had 1 hood at 1 end above my big sativa, and the other hood at the other end of the room. but due to lack of hight the hoods are bang next to each other now, in that corner with all those cfl's arround too. Also moving the second hood as kinda got in the way of the vent, ive just fitted a pc fan into the vent hole to hopefully draw the heat out, i think im going to rig some ducting going from under the hoods to that vent maybe. Look where my vent is, i think this is where ive gone wrong.

Ponder LST or supercropping with tall growing Sativas. (just a thought)
Shorter plants are an indoor grower's friend. Getting enough light through a tall plant is tough.

Yeah, the vent isn't in the best place, and if the hole is the size of the fan, its a bit small too.

The hole is bigger than the fan but ive sealed it arround the fan, im prob going to have to fit a decent extractor fan at some point and some ducting
