Is my venting setup correct and where does my heppa filter go?

I was told i need a hepa filter for my fan but the way i run it doesnt allow me to put it directly on my fan its directly on my light and its sucking air from outside my tent, would it work if i put the hepa filter on the ducting where air is being sucked from? IMG_20130404_145939.jpg

With your setup, I don't see a hepa filter doing anything. The booster fan on the top of your tent I assume is for exaust, so may want a carbon filter on that for odor. Unless the area outside of your tent is very dusty/dirty and your fan/light is getting dust/dirt in it, I don't think you need a hepa.

Great answer thanks alot for the response guys. I was feeling the same way, must've just been the dude at the grow shop trying to get me to buy more shit lol.

HEPA filters are generally used on your intake fan to stop pests, mould and bacteria from entering your room through the intake fan.
