Is Rust on my pc case bad for my plant?

Hi there i have in my garage a old pc, case a really tall one from my brother, i was thinking of making a pc grow case,i wont spend much money on it iam gona use what i have laying around in my place cause the seeds iam gona use are some a friend gave me along time ago i now they are good because ive grown some plant of them.
My question is if rust is bad for them the case is a bit rusty from siting in the garage iam gona put plastic on it so it should be OK no?

it shouldn't really matter that much. the case was probably sitting in a humid environment, which could be a problem because of possible mold that is unhealthy for humans. if i were you than i would go get some steel wool or lighter grit sandpaper and sand the rust away, then take some bleach water (1 part bleach to 10 parts water) and scrub the whole case down. if the case is extremely rusty than sand the hell out of it, wash it. wait for it to dry and then primer and spray paint it. hope it works out for u. good luck
