hey everyone

im growing an autoflower (blackberry kush from fastbuds) & its 6weeks and 3 days old its height is 20,5 inches(a friend of mine said its too short since the strain supposed to reach 40 inche) I topped it but I forgot which node(newbie problems) lol
Wanted to know what do you guys think its looking so far considering the age and she has two main colas is that the result of topping it? Thanks!

FYI it started making small tiny buds but Im keeping the veg nutes on till the height stops she has grown from 12 inches to 20.5 inches in about 10 days

It's not too short, it's too tall. It looks healthy, but needs more light.

And yes, the two colas is from topping.

Thanks for your reply, but its supposed to reach 40 inches and its only 20,5 inches and its at 6 weeks and a half it should stop growing in height in about a week max on the other hand I have a 2fast2vast of the same age which was topped but didnt flower like this just pistils and it has two main colas sitting at 8,5 inches I thought that was short lol not 20,5 inches

Also when do you recommend topping which node from sprout? Thanks

And btw do tou think I should bring the Led light closer to it to give it more light?

Never go by how tall they are "supposed" to get. There are WAY too many environmental factors that influence that. Lighting, for example, needs to be adequate or the plant will stretch and try and "reach" for more light. This is bad because you don't get those big buds that form when you have multiple bud sites come together to form one big one, instead you get smaller buds. Also, the plant is using up energy to stretch instead of growing leaves or buds. Not only that, but you topped it, so it should be shorter than "advertised". And how long you veg matters of course as well.

I usually top the 3rd node when I see the 4th node starting to grow... so there will be 2 nodes below. A lot of that is personal preference.

So how do I reverse it and make her grow leaves instead of stretching to get more
Light and btw its an autoflower

Didn't catch the autoflower part.

Well, after it's done stretching there's pretty much nothing you can do as it's focusing on bulking rather than growing. If it's not done growing, giving her more light will reduce the stretch. Just more light in general... as it's good for all growing stages.

don't top an autoflower you lose a few days of growth time for it to recover and cant stunt growth cause she is on a schedule unlike photos where you induce flowering... next time when bangin out some auto flowers just let it grow man just let it grow.
