I only saved about €40 on the sf1000 but the real savings is on the sf4000. You can get one of those for around 300 including shipping compared to almost 600 through spider farmer.
 
im trying right now to buy, ill post the exact cost right after, and shipping details. The lights come from one of two factories in china, does not matter where you buy them, amazon, company website, where ever alibaba just orders it direct from manufacturing plant and sends it to you. The chinese lights are actually well put together, its the specs that you have to be careful with, for example if you really wanted 750 watts of light and did not want to pay black dog prices , you could actually buy this from alibaba , lol which im actually thinking for down the road ...check it on alibaba its a true 750w Outdoor volleyball court aluminium IP65 700 800 900 1000 watt high mast led only 450 bucks !
 
I actually went through to the end just before purchasing and it said the estimated delivery time was June 28th. I have amazon prime and my light was here in 3 days, and it’s the sf1000. Not exactly sure what type of shipping you’re talking about, but if they can manage to get me a light from China in 3 days, I’ll order from alibaba all day!!

They told me shipping would take around 10 days so still not bad.

I got shipping prices and times from a few different sellers on alibaba and they all said around 40 for shipping and it would take 10-15 days.
 
I just got a sf4000 spider from a lighting manufacture on Alibaba , this thing pumps out 450 true watts and should do my 4x4 just fine , the total price was around 450 $ canadian with shipping , not bad, considering the exact same unit from website is like 650$ .I search for hours and compared many versions from china , some offer differnt light spectrums that change the price , i ended up going with the company Koray, they seem to make lighting in horticulture for alot of companies. also i have to find out if this has a dimmer or not , it effects the price by about 35-50 bucks /not sure how bad i would need it , and no glasses or temp/humid digital unit, its the bare bones 4000 light with a meanwell driver and hanging hooks.

black dog phyto max 1000 has 1050 true watts for 2300 $ , It is the best light , but i simply cannot afford that right now, i think for the price 400 canadian, the sf4000 is good bang for your buck, but in for real , its totally worth every penny, the yields and the quality all around worth it, but for me , dropping 2300 bucks would be foolish of me right now, that s why i look at spending 2300 as insane .

1,000+ watts packed in to a square metal box that looks like a microwave is terrible design. That's why you see strips and boards being used more and more. The key with LED is thousands of diodes spread across your canopy like a blanket, not packed into a 20"x20" box. The fans on the black dogs are MASSIVE and extremely loud and have to be to keep all that Shit cool in there. They use diodes that are no better than LM301Bs and also still pack the driver inside with the heatsinks. They're utter pieces of shit and they charge an arm and a leg for them. They're very liken to KindLED.

im glad your telling me this , so much bullshit out there, they should shot and horse whipped for those mark ups , moving on though, do u think i will be okay with a sf4000 quantum in 4x4 , im thinking its all i need for my first number of grows ? i took your advice and went with aliibaba version seems to EXACTLY the same , and again , thank you,

Spending $2300 on any SINGLE off the shelf light is not only insane but hella stupid.
 
SF / Mars hydro source the same distribution lines ... all mainland China of course ... those “ knockoffs “ would more than likely BE FROM THE SAME production lines with custom logos. You know how China loves the counterfeit market ....Rolex , chanel , FILA , Nike , etc..... So just keep that in mind when sourcing vendors .... they even knock off the knock offs !

Kingbrite , Bava , Meiju are the a few of the popular ones. Archibald has the SF line , but could not tell you one way or the other About them. Hopefully it pans out ... because trying to get customer support from mainland China can be an issue with some vendors , and not even counting the cost of Re-ship back.

I would really advise splitting it into 2-4 fixtures. Experience has shown me that one large fixture can be a bitch sometimes. Having the ability to raise and lower individual, smaller fixtures independently of each other, is a MASSIVE advantage
 
ah okay , i could hold back the order , they are on holiday in china and i am to be billed in a day or two. So 2 - 2000s you advise ? if its more expensive to do so i think ill just keep the order the way it is and go for it , i am planning on using lots of layers of grid like string ,hopefully with close attention, i can keep the buds during bloom uniformed to the 4000 light ? if i can save some money by scaling down the lights and get 2 , is an option and i will sleep on it
