Is the Veg8 really a good replacement for a 8 tube T5 fixture?

Does anyone have any experience with the Nextlight Veg8? I found it on Amazon, but there's not really much info: https://www.amazon.com/NextLight-Veg8-LED-Grow-Light/dp/B01DCFPO6Y/

It's an LED grow light that supposedly replaces a 8 tube T5 light, using less electricity and running cooler. Does anyone have one or know anyone who has one?

Thanks for that link! If that light is good, it gives me hope that this one works as advertised too.

It sounds really good, but of course you can't really trust everything you read on those sites. That's why I was hoping to hear from people who don't profit when people buy the light.

Here is a comparison of an LED vs. a CMH for vegging, but have seen their earlier light and it is bright. The taller one is the CMH and they started the same with the same clones.

np, that guy pulled off a nice grow too.

I've thought about building my own, but don't really want to spend the time. I don't mind spending money on a light, as long as it gets me the results I want.

Personally, I don't think a dedicated vegging light is necessary. Pretty much anything can veg a plant. Just get a light that can take the plants all the way from veg to flower in my opinion.

If you are a DIY guy, then get a Timber DIY kit. They have the best components and EASILY the best customer service in the industry.

If you want a pre-fab light, then get a Timber CXB or Timber Vero 4-COB fixture...or get the Nextlight Mini.
