Is the Veg8 really a good replacement for a 8 tube T5 fixture?

Thanks for that link! If that light is good, it gives me hope that this one works as advertised too.

I actually found this page with a lot more info: https://growlightcentral.com/products/nextlight-veg8-led-grow-light

It sounds really good, but of course you can't really trust everything you read on those sites. That's why I was hoping to hear from people who don't profit when people buy the light.

Here is a comparison of an LED vs. a CMH for vegging, but have seen their earlier light and it is bright. The taller one is the CMH and they started the same with the same clones. IMG_20160617_134854339.jpg

np, that guy pulled off a nice grow too.
Tbh though you could build something yourself for a lot less money. Then there's this type of thing too, http://timbergrowlights.com/products/diy-grow-light-kits/

Personally, I don't think a dedicated vegging light is necessary. Pretty much anything can veg a plant. Just get a light that can take the plants all the way from veg to flower in my opinion.

If you are a DIY guy, then get a Timber DIY kit. They have the best components and EASILY the best customer service in the industry.

If you want a pre-fab light, then get a Timber CXB or Timber Vero 4-COB fixture...or get the Nextlight Mini.
