Is this a bad thing? someone with knowledge of pollination?

Okay here is what is going on. I've got 6 girls going under a 1000 watt hps in a 4x4 tent. About a month ago I had 7, unfortunately the beautiful lsd pheno turned out to be hermie. Only found one open flower on plant.

So far the 3 northern lights are very dense and thick with cloudy/milky trichromes. The other three lsd are getting there but of course, they flower slower. During inspection lastnight on one of the northern lights I found a huge calyx on each side of a bud that from my outdoor experience seemed to be a seed pod. I pulled it off and it was, a seed pod. The seeds are still white and under developed but large. I noticed then on most plants and on few buds, that there are seed pods looking identical to the disected one located where a couple big juicy calyxes normally form at the bottom of buds.

I looked inside the dense buds the best i could and didn't find any actual seed pods in those, even snipped a bud from each strain (lsd and nl) that was the furthest along for inspection and didn't find any seeds or anything that resembled them forming. There were a few small red hairs forming early in flower on a couple plants and that's when i starTed wondering about pollination. But i looked and looked and nothing.

Anyway Im worried. Im afraid Im going to have buds full of seeds although i only found few. I have bred seed crops outdoors before but the traits Im seeing in these aren't the same. Outdoors they are very poddy looking buds and you can tell you have clumps of seeds everywhere in buds. These you would never imagine they got polllinated with the denseness and fullness of them. Anyone ever ran across situations similar? Is it possible that it could just produce very few amounts of seeds that wont hinder my yields? Most of this is personal but some is for family and friends. Or would you think it will be loaded with seeds? Please give me some info so I can ease my analyzing mind. By the way, first time smoking lsd tonight with quick microwave dry. I fell in love with the euphoria and anti anxiety properties of the bud. Its not even indicating cloudy trichromes yet and its that potent. I can tell this will be a new favorite don't know if the northern lights would compare with this, but I've never smoked either one lol. Thanks guys

I've been in your situation before, but that don't mean you will have the same outcome. My hermie pollinated all 4 of my females, but ended up only producing around 40 seeds. My buds were dense and thick too, but even then you can tell when a calyx is seeded and when it isn't. The only way is to dry it out and get to digging. Either way your going to end up with some feminized seeds that would do well outdoors even with hermie traits.

40 seeds per plant or out of all four? If out of 6 plants I get something around that amount I don't think that would be too much of a problem or affect yield that much. I just hope it doesn't affect value that much. Looking foward to some good seeds though lol.

Hey buddy, sorry for your troubles...been there

After pollination the pistils die and turn red.... one single grain lands on a pistil = 1 seed. So if you noticed that ALL the the pistils (white hairs) turned red over a few days you will have 100's of poxy seeds... but if you noticed that only say 40 or 50 pistils suddenly turned red you will have only 40 - 50 seeds.... This can be used as somewhat of a guide as to how bad the pollination is.

The one occasion I got dealt the hermie card... 90% of the pistils on my whole changed from white to red almost over night.... I ended up with a thousands of seeds and all the bud went into the hash pile :(

Also if you have removed the hermie from the room you should leave your pollinated plants in flower until the seeds fully develop.... A lot of white mushy underdeveloped seed in the buds can really mess with the drying process. Plus some free viable seed helps lesson the blow of not having grown sensimilla.
