Nobody can tell you if it's male or female from that photo and at this stage of plant development. If someone does say one way or the other then in the future don't listen to anything they have to say regarding growing cannabis.

that plant is not sexually mature yet. you're looking in basically the right place, but too early. you'll likely start to see a few random pistils before you see any flower bodies form

around how long till the plant is mature? its 7 weeks from seed.
and should i top or fim?

should be pretty quick now, some will show a early as one month, some may take as long as three.
topping or fimming depends on the results you want.
topping slows the plant down more than fimming, but it has a stronger effect. it may stop growth for a week, but then they WILL get bushier. fimming isn't as hard on the plant, sometimes they don't even slow down, but it's not as effective, you may have to do it two or three times to get the same effect as one topping
