I heard that if you bury the stem up a litlte higher roots start to grow out? Is this true?

I ask because I have transplanted my plants to larger pots which they have been in about a month, budding at the moment, and I noticed that the lower parts of the plant is really stemmy and its getting a little top heavy, so once the soil level goes down and your plants grow up, do you add more soil?

what do u guys do/think?

i never had to deal with this problem before ... i have seen on these threads ppl say to bury them deep if they are seedlings & are wayyyyy to stretched out, but other then that , i wouldnt recommend burying them deeper if they are flowering right now .... i guess if ur soil level is goin down u could add some ..... . if its gettin top heavy find somthing to support it up

When you transplant a streched seedling, it is usually normal to bury the stem. When you do this, your making your plant shorter than it would be, and also for the fact that the stem/stalk will turn into part of the root system.
Its the same idea as taking cuttings.

ya but right now I feel like theresa a lot of lower stem that just has nothing on it, area that was once covered by a higher soil level.. do you think that covering it wont make any improvement?
