Is this a pest problem?

I have noticed that a few of the developing buds have hairs already shortening and turning orange. I just got over dealing with broads/russets. I was curious if anyone could tell me if this is a normal thing or not, I don’t think I’ve personally experienced it before.

Looks fine to me some strains start browning sooner than others or can be from heat or light stress

This can be an early sign of russet or broad mites. It could be a bit of wind burn or from the breeze making that bud rub against something. Or any number of other things. The only way to be sure that it isn't broad or russet mites is to scope it.

Hey guys,

New to this forum. I work for a college who provides cannabis diplomas! Wooo!! I never thought I'd see the day where can walk freely smoking a j, let alone be able to study the magical plant itself in college!!!

Anyways, I'm just starting to grow indoors and have noticed what look like small spider webs on my plant. I have noticed similar bugs on my elephant ear plant. It doesn't seem to be harmful as no bite marks or leaves are yellowing. So, I guess my question is.... would you try to remove these little guys or just let them be? Could there be a symbiotic relationship here? Also, if I should get rid of them-- any tips? I don't like to use any harsh chemicals in my home as I have autoimmune issues.

Start by confirming the exact pest there are a few mites that wouldn't seem to be a big issue but they'll snowball into a freakish mess with a quickness.

As far as not wanting harsh chemicals around because of your autoimmune condition I'd look into food grade treatments. I use Dr Zymes for Russet and Broad Mites.
