Is this a scrog net or trellis ?

Ordered this off of Amazon under the impression that it was a scrog net. But recently was told that it is more of a trellis. Would I be able to still use it what I intended to use it for. Which is a scrog? Trying to get the most out of my grow space which is 2.5×2.5×5. Let me know your input on the matter guys thanks. 20180101_160752.jpg 20180101_160758.jpg

Yes. ;)

trellis net. scrog style.

I prefer smaller openings but those will work. The idea is to train the plant so you have at least one top in each square before you flip to flower. It will work as a scrog net for that setup/plant.

The way I look at it, if you use it to support top heavy plants, it's a trellis net.

If you use it to train your plants, level out the canopy, and separate the tops, then it is a scrog net.

It's kind of like asking if you can go for a walk in running shoes. ;)

True that I'm definitely doing the latter want to get the most out of my space quick question bro when do I throw her into flower. Once the plant touches the net or wait until it fills it up completely. Didn't know if to fill it in with the stretch from flower or not first time doing this lol

It's a trellis net - basically for support - not training. A scrog net is placed between 8" and 12" above the top of the pot - the openings are between 2" and 3" - the net is very tight in order to hold the branches down and train them to grow horizontally. If you want to know how to do a proper scrog, google - LBH's Famous ScrOG Tutorial.

So damn there is no way I could manipulate it into a scrog. Train them to spread out even if I have to super crop to keep them under the net ?

Sure you can. I've used trellis nets before. You just need to be aggressive in training to make sure you get enough tops well distributed.

You would have to tighten the net up if possible. Do an lst on the plant and you should be fine.

The point, or purpose of using the net is to get width, and fill your "space" or "footprint."

If the screen trains the plant or plants so no light touches the floor, and the canopy fills out the space, its good. Wall to wall with 6 inch high colas is good.

If the screen trains the plant(s) to fill the space or footprint, and the colas are 18 inches high, it's Better. You have more volume of buds.

A Tighter weave and flatter canopy isn't better if you get Less buds.

Don't let the Technique (tight weave, flat canopy) get in the way of the Purpose (wall to wall canopy, with colas as tall as your light can penetrate.
