Extended spectrum the amare offers. Although it doesn't seem to actually be that bright for the price. Yeah I've used hps and I'm glad it's in the past lol
I guess that's up to the your needs or wants.
The enhanced spectrum offers a fuller 95 CRI spectrum then anything else available but w/o the efficiency losses that come w/ reg 90 CRI cobs or white leds. They actually run the Reds softer then the 470 blues (fills the gap in reg white) & 65k to maintain a 50% or 52% (forgot which one) efficiency.
So, if you believe a full, quality spectrum is better for your plants like I do then it's for you, if not then it's not. I killed it w/ 22 CRI HPS but I see happier plants under the 95 fuller spectrum.
Like I said too, you get to veg w/ a vegetive spectrum as well as turn off the monos to act as a dimmer function if need be.
I hate not using them on my 450 cuz the canopy appears so much brighter w/ them & the plants pray harder. They also add allot of color in many of my strains in comparison to just the cobs from what I've seen in my grows. Like adding a MH at the end of flower but not losing any red in the process so the second growth spurt & swelling continues.
These also come w/ built in reflectors w/ the option to use the lenses. If you have the height then the lenses are dope & maintain higher levels of light. You may have noticed from studying that w/o lenses the #'s drop fast as you go down further. They also deliver more light to the canopy n less on the walls.
So, a 7% loss from using lenses is gained back by about 30% more light on the plants & deeper into them.
But hey, go w/ what you feel most comfortable w/. I'm not here to sell you anything just answer whatever questions you may have cuz I own a bunch of them.
If cost is such an issue then maybe you might wanna try DIY.
Good manufactured LEDs cost allot of $$$. Although My first grow w/ the SE-450 paid for itself 3x over as well as allowed my to go from 600w of HPS to 450w while yielding more.
