I don't like brown stuff on my roots. Yours might do just fine w/ that. If you haven't tried teas, I would suggest putting a little peroxide in a spray bottle and take those plants to your sink and spray the roots until you only see white roots. You might have to do that every other day, until you don't see it anymore.. Keep your rez below 70°F get as much O2 in there that you can. Try to keep your rez at 5.7ph and knock about 100ppm off of your feed while they are recovering.
How much hydroguard you using ?
some thing not rite with your set up to get root rot
if hydroguard not working may have to use tea http://www.skunklabshc.com/microbe-tea-info.html
I am gollowing the bottle 2ml/gal so about 6 ml is what I used. And about the hydroguard, it was delivered on a cold day and was frozen, I couldnt find anything that said freezing could ruin the product, so im unsure about whether or not the hydroguard is any good. I am needing to read up on the Heisenberg thread, I am set up to brew teas for my organic soil grows, so that might be the route I go if the brown slime continues. Also forgot to add that I found part of a pot leaf in my res, accidently got a leaf caught from another plant and it ended up in the res overnight. Also I am running at like 1200ppm.

Thanks for the quick responses. I might shoot botanicare an email and ask if the hydroguard is still good after freezing. Since a day ago and only adding a capful about 3ml of h2o2 the brown stuff has lessened, going to give them a rinse. I wonder if I might have contaminated my bucket with organic matter when I did my res change and thats why I got stuff growing. Also had high res temps for a couple days. My veg got up to 87 one day, had to do a few things and now I am running under 80 and res temps have stopped going up to 74 during lights on. 69 right now.
