Is this bug a threat

Got 3 plants, a Tangie Banana, a Bruce Banner #3 and a Blue Dream. Found this guy and some more like him on the Blue Dream only. First noticed a couple of days ago, the plants were all together in pots, blue dream has been moved. Is this little red dude a threat? Haven't azamaxed yet. No swarms of them just every once in a while I'll see one on the container, spotted a few on the plant itself and I just squish em.
Growing area is in north clackamas county, Oregon if that matters.

Forgot to add, they're about 1/64" across.

that looks like a tick in ky,if so they will not hurt your pot but will stick to you and suck blood and can give you limes decise..ky

It's a spider of some sort, so I wouldn't be killin' it. Or maybe not: I just looked up ticks and they have eight legs also. Sorry, no help here.

That is indeed a tick. I grew up in the backwoods of wv, trust me it's a tick.

I've seen ticks before, ticks are hard, these guys squish with one finger. Haven't noticed any plant damage, so....

Not all ticks are hard, we have a few different tick one is dark with white spots or stripes, a brown tick which is what your pictures appears to be and they are soft and a redish rusty colored one that is soft as we'll
