Well In that case!

Welcome to RIU. Can I intrest you in some Cap'n crunch?

Look on amazon for products. The light should be enough for one plant. Not 2-4. Keep it at 100w a plant. Good luck

Thanks um these lights all together besides the reptile light have a 290W equivalent they are just power savers is this enough to grow up to 4 at all? or should i get more or better lights?

IMO, no that is not enough light, maybe for ONE small plant. Sounds like you got around 3500 lumens total and if I'm remembering correctly the lower wattage the bulb the less penetration it has. Been reading some good things about UVB bulbs, seems to help push out a lot of FAT resin heads.

But, I would definitely consider getting more light if you plan to run 2-4 plants.

Equivalence is not what we want. We want the actual wattage on the bulb. Which is 14-42 whatever. Blue spec(6500k) is for veg, red spec(2300k) is for flowering.

On amazon you can find cfls 85w(equivalence to 425w) for like 15$ a lamp for the bulb(another 10$) and BOOM! You got yourself light for one plant

Wrong! Don't use the UVB bulb!!! Just like UV(ultra violet) it stunts plants!!!!

I know because I grow with LED lighting

The sun puts out shitloads of UV. A lot more than that 10w bulb will.

Here's some good info.

You're comparing the Sun to something that was Man Made? UV-A Rays are from the Sun. UV-B (Man made light) aka Violet light stunts plant growth

BTW I happen to know Gastanker personally and he does not use UV light as of 2009 when he posted that!! And from trials that I have been through for 10+ years I can honestly say-Fuck Man made UV Light

Yes, I am. The sun emits more than just UVA. Did you take the time to read the link I posted? Probably not, but these guys have some show and tell on it. So..you should read it.

I'd honestly advise against playing around with UV too much until you get your other ducks in a row, OP. You can easily toast your plants if you overdo it with that stuff, and it's easy to overdo (I've seen it happen around here more than once.). I know a few people on here who have used UV reptile bulbs to supplement UV; it seems interesting, but it's more something you start adding after you get other things figured out. You're looking at about 50w of lighting there, I'm honestly not sure how well 1 plant that isn't kept really small will fare under that much light. If you can get CFL's at a local place fairy cheap, that's a good start for small setups. There's a whole forum here dedicated to growing with those bulbs, but the rule of thumb seems to be ~100w a plant for decent CFL results.

Your comment suggested that UVA comes from the sun while UVB is strictly man-made, and you sir...are wrong. Just open up the subtypes under your first suggested link..wiki. Resin also acts as a sunblock for the plant, so it isn't a huge surprise to me that UVB plays a role with it, somehow.

Wrong again. I did not say it was strictly man made. We cant make UVA rays only UVB which is what stunts plants. Which is why I said I grow with LED. Stated facts. I also didn't mention UVC. Pointless, because it doesn't matter. Once again you failed. We can't make the same rays as the sun... It's impossible
