is this going to be a problem? (light cycles)

ive had my 2 plants bagseed(regs) and kush( i THINK) in an aerogarden for about a month now, the plants arent tall at all, ive been doing everything right i think but ik the growth is stunted.

heres the only thing

about 5 times since i started growing the power has gone out from storms or whatever, so the light cycles DEFIANTLY got messed up SEVERAL times. im growing in my closet so i know when the lights are on and i know for a fact the light cycle has changed several times but its always on the vegetable setting on the aerogarden 16/8 im pretty sure

is this going to be a big enough problem to just give up and restart?

i also removed some dead life off the bottom of the plant and in 2 days there was a big size difference!

im going to start trimming the plant for better light today as well.

Aeroponics are really sensitive to power interuptions, especially at this early of stage. After a month in the aero cloner you should have some roots on their showing. If so, it is time to transplant those into some rockwool plugs with the slit down one side, easy to slide rooted cuttings into and then stick them into a larger rockwool cube. I prefer the 3'' grodan blocks. This is if you are going hydro of course.

If you have no roots after a month I would say something is definitely wrong, mine have never taken that long before. Did you use rooting compound/solution? Did you take the cutting the right way, exposing the bottom portion of the stem?

If you did everything right, I would assume the power interruptions have something to do with why your clones are not rooted yet. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions.

This is what my cutting looked like after a week. The root was hanging down abot 8''-10''

If you plan on sticking these into rockwool, I wouldnt let the root get as long as mine did. Maybe let it get about a inch long or so then go ahead with the transplant into the plugs

I used stinkbud's system for my aero cloner. He has a ton of info on his design and grow strategy. do a search for "Harvest a pound every three weeks" and you will find a load of info on aeroponic growing

im not cloning the power goes out cause of the weather idk what u were saying

im DEFIANTLY NOT transplanting and all i have is the aerogarden, the roots are pretty long, since they are floating in the water i couldnt measure it

Well if they are a month old with a good root system and they still aren't growing, what are you using for nutes and lighting?

well about 3 weeks ago i went on a week vacation, so 2 weeks ago i came home to a completely shriveled up 1 inch tall dead thing that when i added an aerograden starter nute to, grew that much in 2 weeks

the lighting is the stock 3 aerogarden lights but its all i need for now

No. Not a problem at all during veg. Flowering is a different matter, you need to be more careful. Power interruptions are only going to alter the schedule ( which is not ideal ), but will keep them in flowering. Light interruptions are the most critical, not dark interruptions.
Sorry, I can't speak to your other issues, not an expert on aero.

They look healthy, don't forget when you change to 12/12 they can double in size. Dont through them, think about 12/12 it.

Dont know about your nutes but could be that you need to step up on them

Those areogarden look pretty smart, never seen one.

Happy growing, hope this helps a bit.

damn dude, why did you cut so much off?? If you wanted to get more light on the other branches you could have just added a couple cfl's. They look healthy though, so maybe you'll be ok, just set back a week or two so maybe a little additional vegging time and you'll be cool. Good luck with that

thanks dude, and i was kinda very high when doing it.. not a good idea lol

is the topped wrong plant going to grow higher? its been like 3 days and all that grew was the leaves not size :( theres no sign of growth either i used a butterfly knife and heat to sterilize the blade when cutting

also the nutes i used were standard aerogarden nutes

ya man your topped plant is going to do well, just give it some time. Can you take a couple pics of the topped plant from the top view looking down on the plant? This is a better view to tell where the plant might start to branch out. good luck

About the nutes, you might want to hit them with some proper stuff. Marijuana plants love the nutes. There is nothing wrong with the one's you are using, but better nutes better out come.

Try Canna it's fool proof, get the feeding schedual from www.canna.com.

no i am saying that the cycles get shifted so if the power goes at 5 and the lights should be off at 8, when the power goes back on it resets the light cycle to 16 hours on starting from when it turns back on
