Is this gonna burn my house down?

Once I ran a 12V fans @ 15V but @ the very next day it's been burned. Lower voltage is not problem, but too high is as the coil will heat up more and burn through.... And if you connect (+) with (-) it may burn through also right immediately (if run at full current, so always test at the lowest voltage before you mount)

Those fans typically have brushless motors and there's a motor controller built into the fan so it's not even as simple as overloading the insulation of the motor winding you might be frying the electronics that drive the motor. Capacitors, integrated circuits, and other components have an upper voltage operating limits.

What are you using the fan for? I have a few fans and power supplies I collected through the years and even when i matched them up properly I was still disapointed and they weren't strong enough for much. Your'e on the right track and that power supply is too much, you will burn out the fan.

I run 4 of the AC Infinity ones in my tent to blow across the canopy and they do a great job keeping the air flowing through withought blowing the plants all around like a wind storm.

Oh dude killing me xD that's canopy porn lol
But the plan was to use it to vent a bit of humidity out of my closet grow, it's just a practice really, my first attempt at DWC.
Got a 4x4 setup on the way atm so I'm keen for that.
Do you run a dehumidifier in your tent?
Im using hps tho so mite be different to your LEDs

Killer setup btw props dude

doesn't work with 12V in this case, you need a large vent out that basically matches the strength of your HPS in pull n ccm/h

I don't think that fan will be good for exhausting a 4x4 tent with hps lighting.

Nah nah guys this is for the closet, I copped the cost of a AC infinity cloudline for the 4x4 with the humidity temp control, not sure if it's gonna be able to drop humidity after this though

I don't run a dehumidifier but I may need to put a window AC unit in the room if the humidity outside doesn't get lower than it is now when they are get further along in flowering.

To ease all your worries about a house fire, a proper working circuit breaker will trip if overloaded protecting your panel. You can always use a gfci circuit breaker in your panel. Protecting everything down the line coming from that circuit. Easy to install, can always shut the main off when installing. Use surge protectors on anything that is not hardwired. I also run a few dedicated circuits to balance the load.
