Hi i live on an island, and not the big island or oahu, just a island for now and a friend offered 500$ for some "stuff" i dont think she cares how much as long as its over and ounce. First off ive been researching and basically this is what i learned. Germinate in cup, plant in soil with good drainage, use cfl's with good ventilation, dry and cure
Am i missing stuff? Also i only have acsess to limited materials for now till i get back to the big island in a few months heres what i could get: 2-45 watt cfl's, 1-23 watt cfl, orchid soil(will that work?) and kaya gold fem seeds (5)

you need nutes too!! just get a basic 10-10-10 or 20-20-20. i read uncle ben uses 20-20-20 on his flowering plants and has good luck with that.
you will want more lights asap though, i dont know if that is enough to flower a plant.
good luck though!

Bump up the CFL's if you are growing more than one plant The orchid soil could do as long as you add lime, but otherwise your PH will be fucked as that soil is acidic. Peace

Veg inside then take them outside if possible.

Hawaii is a perfect flowering place. The hours stay in flowering mode all year round. Between 11 and 13 hours (roughly)

A grower used to be on here form there and hed just veg them to the size he wanted then put em on his back porch/yard and theyd start flowering.

Take advantage of the sun if possible. Graba medical card. Itll be worth it.

Damn! that sucks. When you move back to the other island you should invest in a small, secure greenhouse.

Also you might want to consider HID (metal halide and high pressure sodium)

Higher lumens/watt but a little more heat to deal with so if temps are an issue cfls should help you keep the heat down.

Im planning on going out to salvage some l.e.d. Lights would this work well combined with my cfl's? If so how much watts does it have to be, im only growing 2 plants. id get those 2000 dollar lights and all the expensive stuff when i move but for now i have to use what i have, set up my smoke house for growing. Reason for limitations is theres no stores for miles and im not going that far for a light bulb or dirt :L
