Is this LED too much, not enough, or solid? (Links)

I was looking at those quantum boards (LINK) . For 2 SCROG plants, would 1 be ok, or should I get 2?

Grab the 260w QB kit, mate. It would fit perfectly well(one plant/one board) and with the dimmer you can customize it for vegging. 3000°K is a good all-in-one solution. And there's enough left over from your $ 800 budget for everything else (fans, soil and such)..

Yeah, these kits kick ass in a 4 x 2' and are perfect for the ones wanting a ready to use light.
If he was willing to do a DIY light I would have recommend using 6-10 4ft. SR F-strips and a HLG-240 or 320.
Still too little education in the field of LED, so that low-cost providers with their blurples still can make a lot of money. Few inform in advance, but most buy first and then ask because they are dissatisfied with their cheap lights...

I own and am now using 3 blurple lights. A meizhi 600, yaetek 600 and a cheap Chinese 1000w. All linked up to each other they pull just under 600w at the wall. I have a grow diary I started last week that's more of an experiment to show blurple lights grow fine but it's also about my 1st attempt at dwc.
I also own 3 600w hps lights that I will never let go incase I don't see the results I expect/want from a grow so if needed I'll finish them off using the hps. This grow I will use only the Leds from start to finish to show they can produce decent enough bud.

Even the strain you choose to grow effects yield and potency. Having a stable environment and the correct equipment like tds and ph meters are important.
Don't go blowing all your budget on lights alone. If you haven't already bought the viparspectra led then obviously consider a quantum board and driver for around the same price and it WILL out perform the blurple. If you already have it use it and it will grow perfectly well for you.

Well, I havent got that far. Since Im doing a SCROG with 2 plants (3 would be pushing it Im assuming) I would think bushy would be the way to go? Maybe some OG Kush? Still researching what would be best for my particular grow. Thoughts?

Apparently Amazon reviews are ass cheeks when it comes to accuracy, so do you think that tent would be ok with this ventilation kit (LINK)?

Any light can grow decent bud.
Not all growers can.

The QB suggested is a great option. Its nice modern LED tech that will last for years. Lots of LED users DIY their set ups and that can make things real confusing real fast. Its like a hobby within the hobby.

I have a mate who uses vipers with excellent results. But he could grow decent bud with a candle as he has been growing for 30 plus years. But at their price point there are better options.

If you get into growing as a long term hobby you WILL be upgrading stuff. Anything you buy to get started can and will be used elsewhere.

grow the type of weed you want to smoke. I'm not a fan of sleepy weed like kush personally, but that may be your thing.

Yepp, that 6" duct fan kit seems good enough and allows to set the airflow.
The main thing is that the fan does not hum when it is dimmed, unfortunately some cheap ones still do it.
I like the temp/humidity controllers that automatically dim to maintain the setted temp/humidity values.
You need to keep an eye on the humidity for proper vapor pressure difference(VPD). The air indide a tent tends to get dry really fast and increased VPD levels force the plant to transpirate too much water and they take up to much nutriens. Especially calcium which looks out other elements like Mg, Ir or N and this leads to visible damages on the leaves real quick. Also the temps inside the tent should be a little higher(27-30°C) to get the desired leaf temps. LED has almost no IR radiation and therefor the leaves stay cooler as under HPS. My controller is set too 28-30°C and 55-65% humidity and my canopy temps are 25-27°C.
It is very important to keep the right environmental values permanently, but especially with the humidity it can be really difficult. Below I attach a table, which shows you the correct VPD values at different temperatures. Save it to your sdcard, you will need it later. Good luck to your first grow!

Yeah! Still the ol' OG-Kush hype, lol!
I still recommend Dutch Passions oldschool Euforia which is a really easy to grow sativa-like skunk #2 that grows like a compact indika. Up-to 18% THC, strong uplifting high which packs your brain in cotton wool, fast, mistake forgiving, frugal and high yielding. All in all perfect for beginners and still my favorite skunk strain since many, many years.

It is even good for breeding purposes as it is a stabilizied Skunk 2 and not an F1(2 phenotypes, but only minor differences). In many of my own breedings I used male Euforia pollen and almost always the heterosis effect was strong in the F1 and I was able to maintain a short 8-9 week flowering period.
So, its a good beginner strain in all respects!
