Is This Light Bleaching? Using Cree Cobs ( See Pics thanks)

running 4 cxa3070s driving at 50 watts each 200 combined, light panel is 36 inches over tops, I am not set up to Dim
is this light bleaching?
or cal mag def?

plants are really hungry...purply stems says so...well... and those leaves. N , Cal, Mag right away

Mag deficient. Get some foliar action going on. Quickest way to turn things around with cal and Mag. They are immobile elements. So the plant cannot move them from one part to another. Therefore foliar works best

Yep just hungry, what soil mix is it?

I run my veros a foot or less to the tops. 100w each and never had a bleaching problem. I did on the 3w China lights I used to use. Feed them babies.

well 2 are in ffof, the 2 that are showing the leaf issue the most are in happy frog, Final containers will be ocean forest,,
what do you think about adding domolite lime to the mix for organic cal mag?

I think some more info is needed actually.

From what I understand Happy Frog is PH'd at 7. DL will take too long and wont help IMO anyway. It's tough to fuck with your PH during a grow in soil, though mix is a bit more responsive than straight soil. Transplanting is a better fix for PH problems in veg, but we still haven't ruled out everything.

How old are those plants anyway? FFOF has lotsa nutes for vegging and those burnt leaf tips don't say hungry to me. Tips are pointed down so maybe nitrogen and/or probably PH problem causing a lock-out. Those splotches look like a Cal problem, (Cal locking out Mag?) or Potassium. Twisted leaves make it look like PH. Feeding is just gonna throw more crap in the soil I bet.

Flush, compost tea, feed. Lightly on all 3. That's a safe strategy. Backing off the lights might not be a bad idea as long as you're happy with nodal length for that particular strain.

How's your water btw? There also appears to be some clawing. Overwatering perhaps? That's gonna make for bad roots and once they get bad in mix, lots of directions the plants can go then. More reason to add some compost.

What are you feeding them?

Are you using RO water mr fox? if not, do you know your tds levels?.............

I know that in hydro if the res goes above 72F algae will start to grow in the res. The excrements from the microbes cause a build up of mag levels in the res and the results is these red stems.

I am on a well, and in Oregon wells dont have much in the water,, not like the mid west and the east coast,, I have measured my water,, and its TTDS is zero, and when I ad nutes to the water the pen reads the levels fine, apparently I live on an underground lake and water flows out of the ground down at the end of my street year round, it tastes great, so yea, its well water, and the ph which I have tested with both the drops and( that was calibrated before the test),, the ph of the well water is 6.0

add cal/mag then, you need it.......foliar is preferable in your current situation

There are fertilizers designed for use in RO water and other water sources that don't have enough trace elements. I've experienced this red stem thingy on practically all the water supplies I've used and I know that the waters were fine because I pulled good crops after I figured shit out. You'll get it down Tim

Ph for coco starts out at 5.5ph and cuts at about 6.2ph. Everyonce in a while I'll toss in a load at 7ph without NPK for a single shift, usually weekly or every second week..

are you doing passive hydro?,, or drip? or flood drain?

just normal coco in 5l pots
