1. Are you growing from seed or clones?
From seeds, strain "auto jack herer" from zambeza seeds.
2. How old are your plants?
14 days since sprouted
3. How tall are your plants?
about 2 inches
4. What size containers are they planted in?
1,5 gallon since germination
5. What is your soil mix?
Earthworm humus/perlite about 80:20. The earthworm humus informs 1.8 EC and pH 7.0.
6. How often do you water and what type of water do you use?
I use tap water at pH = 6.5 and since the plant germinated in the humid soil, I´ve watered only once because of the size of the container.
7. What is the pH of your water?
About 6.5 (paper strips)
8. What kind of lights do you use and how many watts combined?
42 watt 6500K CFL
11. How close are your lights to the plants? It has been about 1 inch since it sprouted. I´ve checked the temps (always having a 220v cooler) of the space just above the plant and it has been about 80F, lowering sometimes to 72 and reaching a maximum of 89 for short periods.
12. What size is your grow space in square feet?
1,5x1,5 ft with plenty of air circulation
13. What is the temperature and humidity in your grow space?
Between 72 and 90F at most, and about 30-50% humidity.
14. What is the pH of the soil?
Haven´t measured it, but I know the perlite is neutral and the humus is labeled 7.0. Tap water has pH = 6.5
15. Have you noticed any insect activity in your grow space?
No.
16. How much experience do you have growing?
Not much. I could say it´s my 2nd grow.
So, my worries are about the pale strips on the leaves, the curled up edges, and the crispy texture. Doing some research I thought it could be light stress (I don´t know about heat stress because my temps aren´t that high, are they?), but it seems unlikely using a 42 w CFL, right? Anyway, I put the lamp at 3 inches distance now to see what happens. Otherwise the plant is growing at a good rate for being 14 days old since sprouted.
Any suggestions? Thanks!!!
