is this mold??? Need help quick!

Ok, so I came home today and my plant had turned from bright green into a brownish soft material. I pulled the plant and it is now hanging upside down in my bathroom. My buddy says that it is spider mite damage, cause they are infested too. What should I do? If it is mold then I should chop it off right? Should I just chop it off anyway right now? thanks guys!

Edit: Sorry that the picture is so crappy. It just goes from like green and then brown up to the top cola. it really sucks cause it was like a 2 ounce top cola haha what a busttttttt could spider mites turn the bud brown? It also doesnt smell much like weed.

we could verify with a picture. If you have mold it will only spread. try to remove all the afftected area(S) oh those good ole spider mites... sounds like you might have airflow or enviromental issues you need to address. no one likes getting to this point only to have bugs spoil the party.

pinch the worst part of that part , if parts stay on ur hand like i was dirt consider it a mold , it doesnt look like that tho , did the temps droped the last few days maybe ?

the picture is very bad quality , it shows the brown as bright red

take a lil piece and fast dry it , then light it up if it strinks or smells like not weed the again consider it a mold infest , if it smells like as it should then it isnt

ya the temps did drop a lot in the last week, it even started to turn purple and then it got hot again today. I just did the pinch test, and nothing came off on my fingers at all. just felt sticky and really soft. like it squished really easily

picture is dark and of low quality but from the look of that area in contrast to the rest of the picture it appears to be a mold or fungus

Ok here are some pics I toook with an actual camera. See how it goes from green to like a darkish brownish color? Its all soft and almost wants to just fall right off the plant. If there are any other angles or anything you would like to see pics of let me know.

So if it is a fungus, what should I do? Should I go cut the infected parts off right now? I want to save all the good stuff.

You should be able to see mold or a dark cancer forming, the worst thing i see is how much dead leaves are in your bud. this dead material left in your buds is what promotes this to grow.

It is fungus , cut everything near the infested area and what is left healthy must be preserved in the fridge to prevent further infestation

dificult situation m8 , sure thing is seperate the healthy parts , dump the dead ones dont smoke em , now , try to fast dry it within 1-2 days ( taste is the least u should considering rioght now ) and after that preserve it in cold contitions

i would trim all that dead material then also cut off the affected area and seperate totally from your buds

btw this didnt hapened overnight , its there atleast a week so u should be more cautius , place on earth this grow took place ?

so cal in a green house. Honestly it looked 100% perfect yesterday when I watered them. there was no problem at all. I have been flushing it for about 3 weeks though, could this have contributed?

i think the overall condition of the plant is what happened. i have had many plants that becuse of feeding pests or some problem yellowed or most of the sun leaves died, as a result the buds developed mold in some areas.

i have had forearm colas look fantastic and once cut i discovered that they had been rotting on the inside.
