hello,

first off i am new here and WOW:shock: a bit out of my league here.....lol

I was experimenting with pot, and am hooked now! yeah! lol

ok i have 6-plants growing total...been using combo of CF's......my growth is doing really well....i started to grow these in an aquarium and found out not best at all....when they were 6" tall and thick bushy i transplanted them into there own containers, since then my growth seems to be slowing down....is this because of the roots are not bound anymore?
when i start to "flower" my plants is it REALLY neccesary to use a different spectrum light bulb? I got a really good deal on my compacts and cant really afford to buy all new bulbs...will i get any budding using same bulbs as i am growing with?

Thanks

Doug

what type of CFLs did you buy? as you know you use Daylight 6500K during the veg stage and then Soft/Warm White 3500k during the flowering stage.

Ive seen people use one type of bulb during the whole grow just doesnt have that needed spectrum it needs to grow.

I really suggest you invest in a 6-pack of yellow color bulbs when you are ready to start flowering. GE economizers are about the right color. They will cost less than $10 at Wal-Mart or Lowes.

Lights from 2700-3500K are considered "warm" or red. They are available in all fluroescent bulb sizes. CFLs are screw base bulbs. A sixpack of GE Economizers will cost about $10 at any big-box store. Go to www.ge.com and look at the lights, to learn more.

My friend SWEARS on using 3500k bulbs throughout. He gets pretty good results. His plants (or, plant) are less bushy and more buddy.:blsmoke:
