Is this nitrogen deficiency?

The leaf is from the bottom of the plant. New growth is a darker green. Still spreading among the bottom of the plant so I cut affected leaves since they're not getting much light anyway. Is it a nitrogen deficiency? I have a feeling this came from a previous pH problem I was having.

.

How old is the plant? At what week of veg or flower?

It's normal for older bottom leaves to fade to yellow, die, and fall off the plant. Especially if they don't get much light.

It needs more soil so it has buffer room, and yes, it needs a bit if nitrogen.

I'd also suggest not removing the yellow leaves, until your sure the issue is corrected. Yellow leaves arent dead yet, and can be reinvigorated once fed.

This is a good way to gauge your remedy.. if leaves begin to green back up, you know your feed is working (leaves dont always go back to normal though if they are too far gone). It also prevents other leaves from yellowing. The plant is still drawing nutrients from those yellow leaves, as its cannibalizing itself for nourishment. If you remove the leaves it's currently feeding on, it will simply move onto a fresh leaf to begin feeding on.

Overall though, your plant is looking awesome.. feed it a bit, and keep up the good work!

Update I fed and the yellowing seems to have stopped. I also foliar fed some nitrogen and calmag a couple times for quick results. I repotted into 5 gallons and the roots were massive. Sorry for the hps in the pic I know it ruins the colors, 5 gallon pots are hard to move haha.

I think it looks more like Mg deficiency, due to the purple stem of that leaf, and that the problem is starting not at the very bottom of the plant, but up a leaf or two (N usually starts at the lowest leaves of the plant).

I see later in the thread that it looks like you got the issue resolved.

Thanks spek you always look out for me! Yeah I suspected some mg problems as well so I supplemented calmag fairly heavily.
