Is this normal or bud rot?

I pinched the tip of my sour diesel's main cola 3 days ago and I went back to check on it and the tip of the bud is brown, is this normal or is it starting to rot?

Look more burned or dead than rotten. But I second all above comments.

I don't like all these ideas involving harming our buds to make them bigger. Just treat them well and they will return the favour come harvest time.
 
Google will also coach you on how to kill yourself....doesn't mean it's a good idea.....I grew a plant for fun that I did absolutely nothing to at all .....one giant bud ....point being ...less is more when were learning.

Atleast you know now ....do all your new ideas in veg next time ...only thing I do in flower is LST ....and that's just to manage my foliage ...GL
