Is this normal when growing with organics?

Hello, this is my first time growing with organics. I grow in my balcony here in Mexico. I use organic fertilizers specific for weed, manufactured here. I see some differences with growing with chemical fertilizers and I wanted to know if you experience the same. This is what happened growing different strains with organic:

1. Almost no smell during flowering: I could swear that I would have been able to grow the plants inside the apartment with no filters and the apartment wouldn't stink at all.

2. Better taste: Even though the plants had basically no smell during flowering I could totally smell the product in the curing jar, although the smell is 30-40% less pungent yet the taste is noticeable better, stays longer in the mouth. It tastes better.

3. Defficiencies during flowering: It was more evident that plants experienced defficiencies during flowering vs I have never seen defficiencies during flowering when growing with chemical.

4. Plants finish faster and trichomes more consistent in color: This is an interesting one, it seems plants are ready 2 weeks earlier than with chemical, perhaps even more! And one thing I notice is that, on different strains, trichomes are more consistent in color, I mean, they turn from clear to milky and after a few weeks they turn amber but, all at the same time whereas with chemical fertilizers you can have clear, milky and amber mixed together which can be a bit baffling. Because of this last reason I feel that, at least outdoors, I extend harvesting time a lot, like 2-3 weeks more with chemical fertilizers just so that those clear trichomes become milky.

5. Softer smoke: the smoke itself feels less harsh.

6. Less yield: like 15% less but, IMO, many of the points above outpoint the bad ones. I mean, less flowering time, softer smoke, and better taste? But there are some points which I don't understand, like, I thought that a pungent plant was a sign of good health/better/more power and now with organics I can't smell them at all during flowering. Also, the obvious defficiencies are baffling: 2 plants made it to the end of harvest without defficiences but 2 plants have them and they will yield less whereas with chemical fertilizers I have never seen defficiencies, like I said.

Better taste is the only one I’d say I get the rest sounds like issues on your part…..

weird! thanks for sharing that's a cool comparison, i do organics and my plants do stink up the place during flower, maybe less then if i was using chemical fertilizers, cool to know

I'd say better taste and slower growing.

I also think it's harder to provide the required nutrients vs chemicals so therefore it's easier to develop deficiencies.

I disagree about the smell. I think as long as the plants are getting what they want they will smell if it's in their strain. But I think it's easier to not give them enough nutrients with organics and if they aren't getting what they want they aren't gonna smell like they should.

I should definetely get a different organic nutes provider. By the way: can you switch to chemical? I have a plant that has just begun flowering...

Yes! How ever you will kill all beneficial bacteria and microbes. Also all your work into building your myco colony. Just start them soft. Then build up as usual. Consider if they’re a compact or dense organic material, they will still give the soil nutrients over time. Just less access to them. May cause burning late in flower. I’ve had this happen myself. Keep us updated! Running my first organic in a while after doing all Advanced. Added a bunch more light too. Got some beautiful plants on your end. Keep it up!:bigjoint:
