Hi all, I'm new to indoor and led. My grow space is a 1.8 feet by 4 feet closet with built in power and ducted filtered air. Ive done a few runs using unconventional LED lighting and a cheap viparspectra blurple p600.
Next week i want to invest in a viparspectra p4000 because its perfectly priced to me, and because its basically the exact dimensions of my grow space give or take an inch on either axis. The shape of this fixture is the same shape and ratio as the floor of my grow space, and the inside of the space is high gloss white paint.
My questions is, given that the fixture is the same shape as my space and pretty much the same size, is this overkill?
I plan on running it at a reduced power level pretty much all the time, as the total Hight is just short of 6 feet. I think having an over spec'd light in my case will actually be good because running it at a lower power setting will reduce heat and also drastically increase the life of the leds.
Before anyone seggests newer models, please not that i picked this fixture in particular due to its size perfectly matching my entire growing area, and because it has a good record and is well build. I'm looking for someone to argue that my logic is bad from their own experience with having lights or arrays of lights that actually perfectly cover a space without any gaps
