Is this plant ready or does she need more time?

Here is my bubblicious plant. She is just over 8 weeks old. She is in a 2 gallon smart pot with happy frog soil. She has been growing outdoors. Is she ready to harvest or does she need more time. How much longer does she need?IMG_20150703_090411 BUBBLE.jpgIMG_20150703_090716 BUBBLE.jpg IMG_20150703_090753 BUBBLE.jpg

Still too early I think. The best way to estimate harvest time is by checking glandular heads with a 60x-100x magnifier or simply by taking macro shots from top calyxes. Aim for clear/cloudy trichomes for a more clear head high or cloudy/amber for a more couch-lock stone.

Thank you for the reply. So 2 more weeks will be 10 total.

Bubblelicious is a 9-11 week flowering plant. Like Hessam said.. check out the trichs, they will tell you when the plant is done.

Clear trichomes = cerebral, up high with little body effect. Clear trichs may be good medicine for some, but waiting for half of the trichs to turn cloudy will be much more effective.

Milky/Cloudy trichomes = a good combination of cerebral and physical properties, this is also the time when the plant has reached its genetic potential. In my experience, cloudy trichs make the best medicine.

Amber/Red trichomes = makes for a more physically sedating high known as couch-lock.

Way too early. You SHOULD spend $15 on a small pocket scope to check the frost on those tiny bud leaves...you'll never again harvest too early or too late. It's cool to watch them progress. I would have chopped mine too early as well but I listened to the peeps advice on here and bought another tool for future use

good to know info, so you can reverse the effects of sativa back to indica like by over flowering a strain?

Shoot for week 10 - your pistils should start changing color ( brown or red ) as she gets closer to end. Plus she will fatten up some more

No Sir, that won't happen. Over flowering a plant degrades the potency of it.

A sativa is generally at it's best when the trichs are 50/50 clear/milky to full milky. Amber/red trichs seem to degrade the potency of most real sativas.

Indicas are generally best with full milky to amber/red trichs.

Hybrids are generally best with milky to amber/red trichs.

Once you pass up the strains harvest window, that's when trichome degradation begins... the THC begins to break down in a process known as oxidization, turning into the compound Cannabinol or (CBN). CBN is what gives the cannabis that heavy narcotic stone... or couch-lock.
