Is this plant ready - pictures

image.jpg image.jpg Hey all,

I would love some insight on if this plant and if it is ready? It's a 60 day auto and it's been going for 90 days. My only guesses as to why it's taking so long could be weather, or maybe the smallish container?

Anyways I picked off a few pieces that I will test out in about five days once it's dried but any insight much appreciated!

Muchas gracias

Trichome color is the key. Get a 30X magnifier or stronger. If thetrichs are all cloudy with a few amber, they are ready. Tastes vary. Some folks like very little amber, or even none. Others may prefer up to 25% amber. Experiment.

Does it look ready to you. I'm out in the county without a magnifying glass...

Yeah, Id hit it with fungicide...then again I dont know how dry and windy your environment is. Rain =mold for me...er'damn time. If you decide to use a fungicide their are food grade fungicides out there you can spray on your buds and it doesnt hurt them. Some ppl make their own homemade concoctions . "Ounce of prevention is a pound of cure"- my pop

If you are in the central valley I'd give it a couple more weeks, if you don't have mold problems(unlikely, this early). Giving it more time will increase yield, sometimes substantially. In a mature female, past making more than just a few new flowers, the calyxes(seed pods) will swell to several times their normal size, covered densely with trichomes. This is more common among indica dominant strains, which your plant appears to be. I've had some really incredible smoke off of such plants as yours, allowed to go long.

Thanks I will look into it. Normally the average is about 24 in the summer but there's been the weirdest cold rainy weather lately... It's been 10 Celsius at night but looks like things are warming up...

I will give it some more time then. It's just weird that it's supposed to be a 60 day auto and it's nearing 100 days soon.

My only worry is that I will wait too long and I prefer a cerebral high opposed to couch lock which I heard happens when you leave it too long...

I'm also worried I will wait too long and the plant will no longer be potent...

That makes sense - thanks!

I'm probably being very optimistic then by starting some autos from scratch this week.... I live in cold weather climate...

Seedbanks and breeders can only gve an estimation on flowering length. Growing from seed will give you longer or shorter phenos of that strain.

Depends on what type of high you're after. If you're looking for a couchlock high then let them go until they just look done. You can tell because the calyxes swell and the hairs usually recede and turn orangish-brown. Idk about if your after a head high because I prefer couchlock.

Yep what fresno said most autos will run longer than the actual figure given by seedbanks by at least 20-30 days minimum

From the pictures where would you guess I'm at? Are the calyxes swollen yet?

That's unfortunate. I was hoping to plant some more autos... But where I live is northern so I may be out of luck!

Are there any autos that are known to be the fastest that way I stand more of a chance having it finish..
