Is this plant root bound?

Ok just watered one, they really look over watered to me from pics I have seen online, I just don't know how long it can take to recover.

I really hope I don't lose them :(

You might..... the smaller they are....the greater the reaction. Mature plants have a better chance at recovery.

On the bright side...if you do have to start over, you don't have much to make up, and....you won't over water next time...

But they may pick up again..... you'll know by the end of the day. If that one plant doesn't pick itself up.... then don't water the rest.

Happy B-day.!!! It's all good.

BRO! Listen to riddle me. He is right!!!! This is salt buildup you fertilized WAY WAY TOO MUCH. You should have done it at 1/4 of what you did. There are salts leaching the moisture out of your plant. You need to flush it immediatly!!!!! Put hellllllllaaaaaa water through it. PLease listen to riddleme and I if you want you plants to live. Flushing isnt bad think of it as raining outside. IT will remain droopy after flushing almost looking worse but after that ur plant should be able to absorb water while it can't bc the salt is taking it away.

I'd hate to go against anything anyone says on this board because I am so green, but from what I can see the plants look over watered...

Now I just have to hope 1 survives, my main goal was to get a good mother out of the 10 seeds I started, yield isn't a huge deal right now I just want the mother!!

Ahhh I need to get out.

Thanks for the help everyone

It's a very hard thing to diagnose from pics.... It's also hard to believe at this stage of the game, you could build up enough salts for that.

Flush one .... and compare them.

Im telling you right now you can wave goodbye to your plants unless you flush them. They look UNDERWATERED with water in the pot. THe only times i have seen this if there is too much heat, or there is salt buildup. Im doing this for your plants PLEASE do it to one plant to try it out.

he could have easily built up alot of salts in that small of pot with a FULL DOSE OF NUTRIENTS at that age thats INSANE. AHHHHHH SAVE YOUR PLANTS. I know im being dramatic, lol do what u want I want to know if it dies or not.

I'm sorry, but as young as those plants are...they would have burnt up before salts get to them .... how much nutes could he have put on? They are tiny.... the burn would've shown up first. At that stage it doesn't take much.

But go ahead and flush one...and wait.

They would have burned first is my point, especially at that size. salt buildup isn't an overnight sensation. It takes time.

however flushing it with next watering then putting nutes in when its dry is a good technique. Look at riddleme's calling all NOOB growers thread.

WTF? Don't water for 3 or 4 days and soil is dry and it's overwatered? Come on. When soil dries it is the worse thing for a plant. Nothing but salts. It is sucking the moisture out of it, basic osmosis. Like poster says, flush the shit out of one and see what happens.

Here is what he posted.....

Nutes are Fox Farms big bloom, which is supposed to be organic and safe when they are this small, plus I only gave half dose at about 2.5 weeks.

Sound like he over fert'd? Not to me....

Once again, soil is neutral seed starting soil with compost, perlite and peat moss.

What is that compost? Compost is loaded with nutes!! Depending on what type.......

Compost? What are you talking about? FF big bloom is an organic fert.... it isn't compost. He used 1/2 strength ONCE..... so I don't see how salts are the culprit. Not at this stage...salts BUILD UP in a soil. It isn't instantaneous.

Cracker, look at the quote in my last post. I quoted the OP as stating he used soil with perlite, COMPOST and peat. I just can't see how something in dry soil can be overwatered. I agree that the Bloom fert by itself is not the culprit though.

It didn't start out dry.... he just stopped in the last couple of days..... when he thought something was going on...he added more water. There is no quick fix to over watering. Soil does not mean compost and compost is organic anyways, which means SLOW releasing. Those plants are too young to get salt buildup.... it takes time. A nute burn would show up first, but it is possible to build up salts OVER A PERIOD of time without burning, if you are using organics. Chem fert's act much quicker and mistakes show up right away.

Salt is not quick....

Now it still could be...but honestly, I just don't have all the info... only he does.

But we will know one way or the other. Weed likes to be moist, but not saturated..... they drown.
