Is this Powdery Mildew?

Hi Growers!

I'm hoping someone can tell what this is. It's a white powdery substance that I believe is PM.

I experienced PM before in my last harvest, but I thoroughly cleaned out the inside of my tent and all equipment using hydrogen peroxide. However, only a few weeks into a new grow and i'm seeing this pop up all over my equipment.

I'm leaning towards the fact that it's PM again but I don't understand how it could be coming back already. How can I get rid of this completely inside of my growth tent?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I don't think that is PM. I'm betting you have a humidifier and are using tap water in it. If so, that's a mineral residue. It'll wash out in the sink with a quick hand washing. It also can collect on fan blades and tent walls, cords, ect....

Got it, I do use tap water in the humidifier you're exactly right. I was about to update the thread and say that could also be it. I've seen my humidifier cause something like this before but never this bad, I think I was just anxious after experiencing PM last harvest haha. I'll give the tent a good scrub to get these minerals out of here and try my best to use purifies water from now on.

I do, that has to be it. Just out of curiosity, do you know if using tap water in the humidifier could harm the plants? I mean i can see that it leaves mineral residue everywhere, could this residue be harmful to the plants?

Pm doesn't grow on things that aren't plants. Spores might settle on it in their journey but it won't grow and fruit on plastic.
