I know this is a question that is asked a lot, but it's difficult as a beginner without any point of reference to properly analyze when to harvest

day 60 autoflower indica (northern light auto)

I've already asked this question on other forums but they never tell me the same thing, so I prefer to ask here because I always get good advice

the trichomes seem ready yet the plant still has quite a few white pistils

i'm on the 6th week of flowering

Thanks

many people have very strong views on this, you can harvest a plant once 80% of the hairs are brown/red. BUT you wont get the same quality of smoke that you get when all the hairs have turned and the bracts they grow out of are swollen.
i recomend waiting untill this happens, your plant is still throwing white hairs, so id wait untill theres no more white at least.
you can go ahead and cut the top of a cola, dry it and smoke it, then once the plant is fully flowered, harvest and see the differance in smoke

Yes so I'm lost some tell me to harvest now, others (reddit or other websites) in a week depending on the maturation of the trichomes, and you now tell me that it has not completed half of its flowering period (even if it will die within two weeks )

So she's a failure, right? if it misses a few weeks of flowering and the leaves are already starting to yellow, it means it will not have time to mature

Is it indoors or outdoors? Definitely looks like it's got a couple weeks left. If it's outdoors and that's why you think it's gonna die in 2 weeks, then keep it out until you get the go ahead to chop or the weather turns for the worse and you have to bring it down. If it's I doors and it'll due because you already stopped feeding it, keep feeding it. Don't flush.

Looks good. Keep up with feeding. She’ll get bulkier and reward you in the end. Looks like 3+ weeks still left to go.

Here is a solid piece of advice about “ autos “ - never rely on “ breeder estimates “ of grow time ( harvest ).

Most of the time it’s bullshit. Run all autos past suggested harvest week. Autoflowers will not and do not magically fall over dead because you think you need to pull at 8 week .

Plant is running the show. It can care less about calendars. Keep it healthy / light it appropriately and it will pay off. Cut corners and get what you get.
