Is this root rot?

I am able to pull some of the brown roots off easily, as if they're slimy, but I'm not sure if this is root rot? There isn't really any "slime" that I can see...just the brown squishy roots.

Rez temps are 66-68. Nutes are Technaflora's "Recipe for Success" (BC Boost, BC Grow, Thrive Alive Red, Sugar Daddy, Cal-Mag) and I've added Super Thrive and SM-90.

Ideas?

Plant looks good man... My medium is coco coir. Im sure its ok to trim roots am I correct?

From the pics I got from Cervantes' Grow Bible that is definitely root rot. I think he recommends adding H202 to your reservoir to eat up some of that mess.

Might be staining from your water. My roots get stained too.. Smell it, if it smells rotten or bad its root rot.

Dammit!! I've been using SM-90 for a week now, but I will try to remove as much of the brown as I can then treat with some H202...Now I have some 3% that expired a few years ago, can I just pour it into the net pot all over the roots, or even dunk the roots in a bowl of it?

Im using EcoGrowers and have the res at 64-67 deg F, but the humidity in the resv is insane and seems to cause mildew to grow on the cocotek liners. How do you avoid this in DWC's? Im using 1/2 strength nutes, and filteredwater, no other additives...

I did DWC my first grow and liked some things about it. Adding the correct amount of H2O2 every 3 days was key to keeping living things down, You can do the route of h2o2 every few days, or make beneficial bacteria that will not allow other organisms to colonize.

3% has a aditive in it to preserve it thats not what you want, you need 29% H202 at 7 to 10 ML per gal every three days. 29% can be found at any grow store.
3% is used in disinfectant for cuts and infection.

It's could also be possible that light is leaking into the water or container. That creates algae and other nasties.

Imo I wouldn't rule out staining probably from thrive alive that is if your even using it in your res. I say this because I have usedit in the past and it stained my roots but the plant was fine. I only Use it to spray my leaves. That being said it may just be the other nutes as well. Bc nutes are great but they can be a bit dark in color.

That is rot. Yer other roots look good tho, I'd cut off the brown with a clean snip and play it by ear.

Edit: yer not supposed to use 3% H2O2, you should use food grade, 35% or higher.
