My tents are for testing new strains and i fill out with whatever i have thats ready. To train 1 plant means that tent is in veg part time thus not always flowering. I use the scrog to spread the plant open giving me better canopy penetration. They may be testers but i want to yield as much as i can out of them. I have space manegment down pretty good. I like having the outlet for overstock. That pic is 2 strains, 3 lemon lotus, 1 goji og, my first run of them and no wasted space. More than one way to skin a cat.I never understood why people do multiple plants under a scrog. I use one plant train til it fills the screen 75-80 Percent normally that's about 5 weeks of veg and then flip to 12 12. yield is usually 10-12 oz depending on strain. Seems like a waste with multiples but to each his own.
I did 4 plants under a 3.5 x 4 net and pulled a pound. Less plants would of meant more veg time. One plant is not going to fill a given space as fast as 4. Also unless your using cuts some plants are going to be better in every way than others.I never understood why people do multiple plants under a scrog. This. Im getting similar results on a smaller scale.I did 4 plants under a 3.5 x 4 net and pulled a pound. Less plants would of meant more veg time. One plant is not going to fill a given space as fast as 4. Also unless your using cuts some plants are going to be better in every way than others.
I use multi plants because it takes way less time to fill the screen.I never understood why people do multiple plants under a scrog. I ran 7 this time under a 9x6 screen. it was hard to manage it happened so fast.I can definately understand now why you would use multiple plants. But since I've lately been going from female seeds only and no clones I just been veggies one plant for 6 weeks to fill and i still have extra beans left. It would be nice to run 2 in one and only veg for half the time.
Thats a big ol screen! Mustve been tough getting to the middle. Wish i had a room with high cielings i could do 4x8 tables. Have the tables about knee high, walk around canopy managment and easy drainage. Space is a little tight! Got these new deep dish drip trays, square farmers. Freakin awesome for watering to runoff but when the plants are trained into the scrog it means crawling in there to suck the runoff out with a big ol syringe. Theyre 13”x13”, about 2” deep with 1” risers for the plants. Check em out!I ran 7 this time under a 9x6 screen. it was hard to manage it happened so fast.
I think there is a point of diminishing returns. More is not always better.
Also ran three different strains because I had no choice. Another thing I don`t recommend, lol
In the end its all about what works for you.
Next run will be 5 sour d
Runoff is no good for them to be drinking!thats why you should water to runoff. Helps get rid of shit like salts from building upVery cool,
Yeah it's a pain in the ass watering and crawling around under mine but it is what it is.
I use grow bags that sit in huge drain pans.
The excess gets sucked back into the bags in a few hours.
Like everyone else I'm still refining
In theory, yesRunoff is no good for them to be drinking!thats why you should water to runoff. Helps get rid of shit like salts from building up
Lol, Right on. I do plenty of shit i shouldnt to my girls. My veg is a bansai torture chamberIn theory, yes
But my plants are fine for years now.
I water until run off then it drinks it.
Plants are fine, I don't vacume water and I water less frequently.
Win. Win win.
Again, I'm not recommending it to others just stating that I get away with it year after year so I'm not going to make more work for myself.
See I'm lazy, lol
My plan was to use the scrog as its intendedfor, ive been tucking, and bending leafes farther into trellisShould work. Are you planning to tie the grow tips over and run the branches horizontally along the screen until it's almost full then flower them or just leave them free-standing and let them lean against the strings so they don't fall over?
If the latter then the screen is too low as the colas will be too high above it after the stretch and you'll need a 2nd level of screen or tehy will fall over anyways. If that's the plan it's not a ScroG just screen supported colas. Could just jam bamboo sticks into the pots and use twist ties to hold their heads up. A lot easier.
Looking good but I wonder what deficiency causes that sickly yellow colour.
Good luck!
