no...nnnooo...NO!.....IT IS NOT COMPLICATED!...Here it is from someone who learned from a master...when it sprouts it has 2 little "nub" shaped leaves...after it makes its' first pot looking 3 lobed leaf, watch how the leaf arms stem from the main branch...if two come out at the same spot (level) it is a male...if they alternate as they go up the main branch it is a female...This works every time. You can tell in less than 10 days.

Complete and total BS.

The nodes will not normally begin staggering until the plant is reaching maturity and is ready to flower. It has NOTHING to do with the sex of the plant.

You are crazy, why would you spread such rumors.

A master told you these are called "nub" shaped leaves, jeez
a real reliable source. These are called cotyledon's. When is comes
on the same level it is called Dicot Apical Meristem Growth , and when they
alternate it has begun it is called Monocot Apical Meristem Growth, and it
has nothing to do with sexing, only physically seeing the plants sexual organs
determines sex. There are no shortcuts, except to take a clone and place
directly in to 12/12

The "nub things" are called codyledon. They are the plants initial vegetation and are developed by the time the seed cracks in germination. The :3 leaf pot looking leaves" are not always 3 at first, and the first set of serrated leaves above the codyledon are your "true leaves" . "Where the branches meet" is called a "node". If they are even with eachother or staggered has no bearing on sex. This is simply a sign that the plant is mature enough to put under 12/12 lighting if you so choose. Usually happens around the same time you start getting preflowers.

Shrubs you are for the most part right because the first post is wrong.
But you can tell sexual maturity before a plant goes into 12/12. This will happen automatically after the plant has reached sexual maturity even under 24 hr light.
Look at the base of the node 5th up and above after 1.5 -2 months and a single male or female "organ" lol will be there were the main stalk and the branch connect

the photo is a female plant from seed only under 24 hr at sexual maturity

isn't that only in auto flowering plants though

Nope, some strains do it naturally. I had some of my good (unknown strain) chronic seeds do it under 19/5. And, after only about 4-5 weeks of veg. Others don't show at all until 12/12 it just depends on the plant.

All plants will show.I dont know the terminology but all nodes will show that spike, male and female alike and a keen eye will see a single hair or a single nut beside the spike that is only 1/8 to 1/16 the size of a normal sack they are just small. if you see a bump by the spike take a pic and blow it up or a magnifying glass then look for the hair or ball. you have to grow it full size though a couple months

note. the hair comes out of a cylac wich can be judged as a male nut wait to make sure that hair dont pop out. the shape of the pollen nut and the cylac is different as well.
