Is this under or over-feeding?

I see death :(.
There's always hope but by the time he sorts it itd be probably faster to start over as I said but I dont see death, see the little white roots..always hope if u can use cannazyme in that system (im soil) itll break down those deat roots to food... Heres his little glimmer of hopeScreenshot_20170427-112717.png

Id personally foliar Calmag n some veg nutes in lights out when the stomatas open..quicker uptake and endomycorrhizal would really help

OP has a choice to make and that is spend the next 3-4 weeks trying to nurse them back and it can be done most of the time or chuck em. Then you need to decide if hydro is the right choice. IMO if you want to keep running flooded root systems you really need to keep the water cool, if not then perhaps DTW or Hempy. Yup there are some that run warm water but I can gaurantee your not getting what is possible.
This is my second hydro attempt (about a dozen soil grows before this), and I had tried using frozen water bottles for the last month, but im def too lazy a person to keep it up. I got the water chiller I ordered - which I realize is sorta overkill for my amateur-hour setup - but I've since started to run chilled water through a wort chiller sitting in the res.

Temp is down to 70, and hopefully will stick around 68.

Thank you all for the advice, I realize I kind of messed up already (I think I left them in my aerogarden for too long). Since they're autoflowering, I'm considering starting over, even though there's a possibility these can bounce back

even though Idk what EC my res is really at
Looks like a deficiency to me , Could be a lock out from not knowing what your ph is at too. 74 degrees is borderline too hot for a res temp , I'd try to keep it cooler . Hydro is not for everyone , it demands more care and has less buffering then a soil or soilless mix would give you , Honestly if I were you I would run soil a few times until you get the hang of the whole growing thing, then once you have the experience and the needed equipment/tools, give hydro another shot, you could take those plants out of the hydro and put them in soil right now , And with proper nutrients they would prolly get back to healthy again. Maybe switch to coco its like the next stepping stone as u need ur hydro game down n really understand how to read plants...thats what ill get around to eventually but thw thoight of wayering all the times annoying but with my cobs the soil drys much slower so maybe cobs would allow u to qatwr the coco less..
Just rambling

Hm, switching back to soil's been on my mind, since I'm still a noob with soil. I knew hydro had its own set of challenges and a steeper leaening curve..

I do think the last systemic issue I needed to address in my current (hydro) setup was res temps. I had just been hesitant to buy a chiller before trying frozen water bottles.

This being said, I also realize I'm likely not done creating problems for myself

Hey man treat it as lessons Learned...dont give up, u just gotta keep reading n u received some solid advice here. Of youve grown successfully in aoil id say coco
Of course! I'm not discouraged, just a little slower to improve than some :dunce:

Aside from lost time and a slightly higher electric bill, these past few months have indeed been a great learning experience. Appreciate all your help again, everyone. RIU has been an invaluable resource - I had found relevant answers online, but this was certainly more helpful

You'll need a lot more than 210ppm of ferts at this stage in coco and zero calmag with a fert like canna a + b or similar.

Once you split that 210ppms down i bet its more than just cal mag you need, im guessing its only 50ppm of nitrogen at best. i cant even pop a seedling at 50ppm of nitrogen...

Yeah theres alot of bullshit like flushing n defoliation so if youve qs the noobs section gets some pretty experienced members in there that'll help n some great reading tbh as all the issues ppl keep asking have been answered timw n time again so noobs section will have every answer u need

I wholeheartedly agree I was mearly suggesting maybe if he want to use soil less medium coco would of been a better option. I use cobs n get Calmag Def from the get go but I spotted it fast

His roots are fucked up and no amount of nute changing or foiler feeding at this point is going to help. IMO they are done if it's an auto, throw them away and start fresh cause the electric bill will be higher than the few grams he'll get.

No point untill what caused the deficiency in the first place is fixed. Cut out the rot scrub your system really well run somestrong h2o2 through it rince well keep your water cool run something like hygrozyme with your solution.

yep and its hygro not hydro i still mess up on that sometimes. I use organic soil but i run clearez in the cloner. Shit is magic! Get lazy and not clean it for a month roots are still crisp white

The rot caused it so yup clean that shit up. Have u used hygrozyme for rot to fix it? Just curious as I'm looking at a hydroguard replacement.

hygrozyme will not fix it just help prevent the problem. I have cut out rot and dunked in weak h202 to fix it. and I have used clearez in the cloner to fix it. now I just run it with the clonex solution and I haven't seen the rot since. again I'm not sure abought using it the entire grow but I assume that it works fine but kills all the beneficial organisms also

Yeah we concluded auch earlier, we were suggesting different options.. You know, like 'help'
There is no help, it's an auto so he's lost his window of success, your helping him waste his time is all. And yup help is what I was doing as opposed to telling him to adjust his nutes which I believe was the suggestion of the day. How are you guys diagnosing a problem when his plant is basically dying from rot and nothing else at this point
