is 'top soil' already sterile?

wut up ig. i use topsoil in my medium cuz i grow sog style an i use alot of 1.5 cu feet bags. ffof is great i hear but its also like 23 bucks a bag. i guess if i were doin 5 plants only i wud go wit it. but i do autoflower grows so im lite on nutes anyway. i jus use topsoil tap water sat out with molasses, and guano. 30% perlite, 20% miracle gro organic. i only use the guano in the water a week after sex show, in very small quantity per gallon. so depending on how u mix it bro it can work for u

I ONLY grow SOIL and ive tried many many kinds and the kind i settled on is also one of the cheapest... do you have access to a homedepot? if so buy "kellog" brand soil they have a particular kind call "Patio Plus" Organic. It has norwegian kelp bone meal bat guano seabird guano and worm castings which save you time and money the soil only costs 5$ per HUGE bag which is 1/4 price of actual soil from grow stores.. you will need to add a small bag of perlite and a small bag of peat moss preferably canadian peat... this peat will bring down the PH level to about a 6.5 anyway this should cost no more then 15$ and can do like 10 containers depending on what size... just to give you an idea i grow 4'6" plants and they are all perfect and need VERY LITTLE nutrients... This is the Best soil combination I have ever used in my 14 years of growing... happy frog and fox farm suck in comparison I use to use them religiously waste of money and genetics

hey rickhorror. that soil sounds like a great mix. i might go with that on my nex grow. i also kno of a spot to bros that sell a huggggge bag of perlite for 17 bucks.its here in chi an they have a website.

99% of all text is white for me (using fancy gray)

lol its readable 99% of the time.

that's the mix i have right now.. it's either:

50% - TOP SOIL
30% - S PEAT MOSS
20% - PERLITE

or..

50% - SCOTTS POTTING SOIL OR MIRACLE GRO MOISTURE CONTROL
30% - S PEAT MOSS
20% - PERLITE

i'm just wondering..
whether or not the 'top soil' will work better than the scotts & miracle gro..

the soil I use require little nutrients...as far as nute i use botanicare (use to use advanced nutrients) shit sucks .... and someone commented about bacterias this soil has all that... plus there should be bacterias in your nutrients if there isnt switch nutrients.... your mix sounds fine but thats alot of perlite... not a problem really but that means less nutrients in the soil... i do it about 60% GOOD complete soil (Kellog patios plus organic mix) with all the guanos and bacterias and castings then 30% peat 10% perlite
