Is using lemons as PH down stupid??

i ran out of ph down solution and i was wondering if its not smart to use lemons from my backyard to lower my ph for my hydroponic system.

i saw another post that said to put a cap full of lemon juice into a gallon of water. i haven't had to do it yet though.

have to agree with daddy. but this is all hearsay. lemon juice orange juice. whatever. i dont see how this could hurt worse than the corrosive acid they sell as ph down. maybe not as efficient but probablly safer.
