did you even read my post it used the sentence be careful right in it. i don't want this to happen to him. and like i said the first time there was no tight tying or stress on the stem so obviously i was as carefull as 1 can be

Ive never made the mistake of snapping a branch by tying it down that seems very careless to me especially being how hardy cannabis is... those stalks are thick man

it snapped after a week. just happened as a fluke i guess. i'm not using this guys thread to discuss this. its to help him not to discuss the stem properties of cannibus

Thanks people, i think ive got it now.
I wont allow the plant to snap because ill regularly check to make sure the string is not too tight and that the plant doesnt grow itself into stress.

Please acknowledge that i posted 3 piks up on the second page of how i tied it and how the colaa has turned up towards the light, Pretty cool.

Thanks!

yep hermie, or the stem will split because, after flowering the plant tend to turn from flimsy stems, that can be bent slightly, to wood, that will break like a pencil. too late and i hope you are letting her grow naturally. make some clones, revert them back to veg, and then lst them.

But ive already done it now on the top cola. Now i am gettting paranoid, ive been advised to by other members already.
Any body else want to agree with fiziks opinion? Please let me know.

yah man. thanks for brining that up. +rep. i started tilting my hydro plants even to a 30 degree angle and its much safer. if you have to rain them from there its minimal. should have said that. sorry man. do that its much safer.

Damn, that really annoys me because i have already done it now. Should i just untie it? or can i proceed with the state its in now and take extra care to make sure that it doesnt snap? Maybe untie it and tie'in it back up again daily so it has minimal stress?
Ive got it in my head now that itll be fine, also because the plant has seemed to react so well.
tell me your thoughts

try lst in your next grow if you lst now plant will have to divert from buds even though maybe small amount of energy every little piece counts

I lst my crop when needed even in flower and i dont have problems... you can do it as long as you dont put to much pressure on her....cannabis is a very hardy plant she wont mind

thanks, ive left it. Today i untied it and the cola hardly even sprung back, Its got used to the position its in so i tied it up again a bit more slack.

looks like you've got it sorted m8.

To those who have had snapping issues, I'd strongly recommend gardeners twine, stretches and gives a bit of slack as the plant grows as opposed to the rigid copper wire some people recommend.

What did you use to tie that with buns?
