you missing the point. YOU have to be the one who control your thoughts. No one can do that for you.
BUT NOT YOU CONTROLLING US OR MAKING THE RULES>

the point being... HE has to control his thoughtsI think is is totally un-American to the hilt to consider saying what a drunk should or should not think about his problem. And he can think, he can pour, he can smell it and he can chug it down for all I care.
It is his dragon to slay, not yours, you do-gooder.
Lord save us from the do-gooders.
who said control you???? I'm speaking on you controlling your thought to prevent you from doing something wrong.BUT NOT YOU CONTROLLING US OR MAKING THE RULES>
I hope I cleared this up with prior postWhy do you hold that we can prevent people from thinking what they want?
Ms. Lady we speaking on thoughts. The thoughts of the alcoholic can do him/her harm as well as the thoughts of the pervert.

I disagree. . I'm one who truly believes in the power of thoughts. Some thoughts would not be in your best interest.yes we are.
doer just said it..think what you will as long as you don't act upon.
again I can't control what you think. You have to control what you think. Do you think it is wise to think evil, negative, hurtful, unproductive thoughts ?if you prevent someone from free thinking then yes, virginia there is a santa clause and yes it is control.

You can control your thoughts and still think. The only way to control thoughts is to learn to stop thinking on command.
I can do this, because I have been practicing the techniques to do so, for these last 40 years.
And what you are taking about is not even that.
If thoughts control us into bad actions, there are law against the actions not the thoughts.
