Females will have a calyx/tear drop shaped pod with 2 little white hairs/pistils sticking out of the pod.
Males will have straight up balls.

what a crock of shit. do not take his advise. let him chop his own females. your plant is too early to tell. and dont kill it anyway, till you are sure it has clusters of pollen. sometimes plants take a few days to show and ive thought mine were deffinite males before and bam 2 days later its popped pistils all overDude that's a male, you can see it from a mile!
