My family and friends snuck in and put a diaper on the harley a friend of theirs has bought. Though the manufacturer leaks after the break-in aren't as common these days; a good triumph will always be better.I have my prejudices against sportsters. I've seen too many trailered home from poker runs. They cost 25% more than comparable rice burners but are less efficient, slower and get worse mileage. The 883 will always be seen to me as the "starter bike for the wife".
It's bad of me I know, but the sportster is my least favorite Harley. It's a cost/benefit thing for me. The only benefit I see is "it's a Harley". I admit to being just a rider and not a biker though. I want to put gas in and ride.
Evo motor ushered in a new age of reliability from harley I reckon. My family and friends snuck in and put a diaper on the harley a friend of theirs has bought. Though the manufacturer leaks after the break-in aren't as common these days; a good triumph will always be better.

Speed triple has always been a favorite of mine....too apples and oranges by segments?
Would like to see a modern Vincent black shadow

you gotta see it to get a feel for how badass it is
no, they all broke down on the way to the scrap yard.
See Any Harleys in there?
+1............. "like"no, they all broke down on the way to the scrap yard.
I loved those old speed triples, that speed four crap they came out with to replace it was just not the same from what I heard. Funny you should mention orange though. The triple I envied for years was one with a custom orange paint job.Evo motor ushered in a new age of reliability from harley I reckon.

In 1973 Yamaha, Kawasaki and Suzuki were all 2 stroke. Honda had 4 stroke engines. Even the small Harley (imports) were 2 cycle. My rd350 was 2 stroke other than dirt bikes nothing else was
