Its Strawberry Cough. They are news seeds. I had a nice stash of old seeds but they would not germinate. I also got some kind of Headband cross.Looks like Strawberry Cough? Any other strains in the beans you cracked? Old seeds or new?
This isn’t technically in the grow journals section but scold me if you don’t want others commenting in this thread and I’ll stop.
Cool. Lighting has changed a little, LEDs are on par with HID now but good ones cost alot upfront. Flavor of the month strains are all new.Its Strawberry Cough. They are news seeds. I had a nice stash of old seeds but they would not germinate. I also got some kind of Headband cross.
I’m open to any conversation or input. It’s been a decade since my last grow and I’m sure some things have changed.
Yeah I see the LED lights are far less expensive than they used to be. I bought a few off Amazon just to get started. lolCool. Lighting has changed a little, LEDs are on par with HID now but good ones cost alot upfront. Flavor of the month strains are all new.
Growing weed is still growing weed. Many ways to get to the same general outcome and growing your own is still way more satisfying than buying it.
Also, the internet has changed. Idiots on YouTube post ridiculous grow videos full of shitty looking plants and somehow get 700K followers who all that seem to think the videos represent the pinnacle of pot growing. Some of those followers come on here looking for help and wondering why they can’t get their plants to grow right when mixing hydro, organic and straight bro-science bullshit growing methods all together.
yeah I know people in my town who are growing outdoor plants that are in full view of the road. Like 50 feet off the sidewalk in view. I’m not worried about it.Have fun, but be a bit circumspect... and you may want to still be quiet about it.
It's not legal to grow in NY yet. Growing won't be legal until 18 months after retail opens, and while the law says that it can be 6 plants per person up to 12 per household, any town/municipality has the ability to reduce that number downwards (just not to zero).
They're not terribly smart. Even with complete legality that's a good invite for someone to come into your yard and steal your shit.yeah I know people in my town who are growing outdoor plants that are in full view of the road. Like 50 feet off the sidewalk in view. I’m not worried about it.
Im being quite a bit more discreet lol. Walking around town many people are already growing. They're not terribly smart. Even with complete legality that's a good invite for someone to come into your yard and steal your shit.
Welcome back to the grow my friend; I've been in the same situation (not being in a place I can grow), but I've been back in the saddle for the last two years. Sure feels good too. It’s legal here in New York and I’m ready to jump in the saddle again. I’m gonna document my grow here. View attachment 4996443
I always told myself that if my state legalized I would be back. While it’s technically not legal yet, I doubt anyone is going to enforce unless you are outside the stipulated amount and flaunting it. It was a hobby I missed, while I have been gardening nonstop, I really enjoy growing cannabis.Welcome back to the grow my friend; I've been in the same situation (not being in a place I can grow), but I've been back in the saddle for the last two years.
