It’s been a decade since my last grow…

Sorry to hijack your thread Balzac89, but you have the kale going inside so it’s a little relevant.
Habaneros like it hot too. Seems no matter how early or late I start them inside, they just kind of stay in stasis once they are in the ground outside until late July. Then it gets hot and they explode. I’ve grown them in both SoCal and Michigan and observed the same thing. Curious to see if you can get them really going inside at the temp range pot plants like. They are remarkably tolerant to being under watered. I grew three colors of them this year.

My outdoor habaneros are covered in peppers right now (too bad, since it's almost November and our first frosts have started). I started them late March inside and planted them Mid-May. We don't get uber-hot here a couple days in the 90's per summer, most of it rides in the 70's and low 80's. My tent is generally in the upper 70's to mid 80's so that's solid. We'll see how it all goes. Also, depending on timing, I can also drop them into the garden outdoors in the spring if they decide to take forever. My Manzano Yellow peppers went into the ground mid may and it's covered but they're nowhere near ripe yet. Which is sad.

I also do roses from seed, so the tent might be crowded. ;) If you want a challenge, try germinating roses from your own rosehips. Ugh.

Decided to go to 12-12 a bit early. It’s getting pretty cold out and I don’t want to heat the room yet so I figured I’d start early.

Got rid of another male and it looks like I have one more. The three in Scrog are confirmed female and one in the second tent is confirmed female.

I’ve had more males this run than ever before. Approximately 70% were males. I usually have 45% males. Weird.

Plants are looking good. That’s a bummer on the 70% males but good to hear you got several ladies. I only popped two beans last year and both were male. I was sad. Better ratio this year, 4/7 female on the regular seeds.
With fem seeds, it avoids the “crap, those are balls” moments but almost feels like cheating.

I need to get a light meter. I’m just getting back into this after many years and I always did outdoor grows. Indoor consisted of just starting plants.
If you have an iPhone just get the Photone app. $6 for the full spectrum version and it’s damn near as accurate as an apogee meter.

good looking grow so far. We use more acronyms now but growings still growing.

Its Strawberry Cough. They are news seeds. I had a nice stash of old seeds but they would not germinate. I also got some kind of Headband cross.

I’m open to any conversation or input. It’s been a decade since my last grow and I’m sure some things have changed.

I plant my peppers and jalapenos in empty water bottles I fill with soil, make a hole in the neck for easier watering and let it grow out the cap hole this way I can move them with the sun.

At this point, I'd have to move 'em down south a handful of hours. ;)

We had our first night below 30f and it was all over. Leaves off and on the ground. ;) I just dropped another round of Tangerine Dream seeds and once those sprout I'll do some pots with the seeds from this batch of peppers.
