It's been a few years since I've logged in. I've now got 8 grows under my belt and I've got questions.

Probably won't all go here so direct me as needed to repost my inquiries.
1. Running 600w hps and 400w MH. Will it benefit me to go LED now with no loss in harvest given everything else remains the same?

2. I am going to install a split HVAC system. One evaporator/controller in bloom room and the other in the veg room.
small rooms so I will get the smallest I can find. 10k-12k btu. I can do the work and have everything necessary to do it. I plan on getting the kind where the refrigerant lines are ready to hook up and compressor is already loaded with refrigerant. Question. Will I be able to reload refrigerant when needed? I don't need a tech needing to go inside and mess with the evaporator/controller.

3. Is there something going on with seed distributors? My usual place, in England/Amsterdam has a note up bitching about Brexit an stating that all their seeds will not be available everywhere and after about an hour of looking and picking a couple. They are not available at my location. Are there reliable distributors in the States that don't have to deal with borders?

1) As long as you buy the right LEDs, a lot of cheap knock offs that will definitely lead to smaller yields compared to HPS/MH.

3) Yeah, the seed banks are getting very picky about payment methods and shipping. I've lost at least half a dozen banks I used to buy from because of all the regulations in the US.

I've got exhaust pulling or pushing air through my current lights and out of the space. Are LEDs cool enough that they don't change the indoor temp significantly?

As far as US seedbanks check out DCSE and I just got some no problem from County Line Genetics.

Temps seemed less of a problem for me with LEDs. Regarding AC coolant if there are no leaks it theoretically will never need a charge. I've ordered from Greenpoint, Great lakes genetics and Cannarado all cash have had zero issues.

I run 1000watts in flower and 200watts in veg at the wall of led qb China builds no issues. Outside temps range from -4 to 25c I grow in an insulated out building.

I have a dehumidifier and a ultra sonic fogger to balance out the humidity.

My insulated 4x4 has 2x GLA 420 lights. They are high spec. They will heat the room to 40C. I run a 13k split ac in there, it happily cools the room to 28C and circulates air. LED lacks IR so does not raise leaf temperature like HPS, read up on this as it's important.

Install your AC, put in a bunch of high quality dimmable LEDs, then seal it up with CO2. In that order.
