Well, This same dang thing happened last time (first time) and it was part of the theme of the entire grow. Anyhow.. The most mature leaves (very bottom) of the plant is schriviling up or should i say turning into one big crispy brown spot?.. First it was turning yellow. Other leaves throughout the plant are developing what i would discribe as yellowish brown spots that are fairly large and are gaining size and popularity LOL.... I cant find anything in the plant problem section covering exactly this as a nutrient def, could this be something else?>

I first noticed a small spot last week and now multipul leaves, even towards the top have them. It does not effect the very top of the plant where new growth is.

Alittle info,
7wks from germ (seed)
3rd week of veg
Barneys, G13Xhaze
In Foxfarm ocean forest at 50% Fox farm Happy Frog %50 and some polymer crystals to hold extra moisture.
No nutrients givin yet because this soilless mix will feed for 30 days, and plant was just transplanted into more, fresh soil two to three weeks ago which should feed for now.
Water PH is 6.8
Temp AVG 75 , Top 79 50% humidity
Plant is in a 12" pot ... watered id say.... every otherday but not on schedule, just when top half inch of soil is dry
Expecting to use full foxfarm line from Growbig to Open Sesseme but again NOT used yet

Bonus Question !!!!

Is leaf deformation like THIS pic3.JPG
typical with a successful FIM technique?? If not ive really been doing it wrong, ALOT, but hey last time i got 8 count them 8 tops from my *FIM* .. maybe im on to FIM 2.0 if im doing something different lol..

Thanks for your help and plus rep for strain specific suggestions, comments , and of corse help with the plant issue!

Here are a couple common causes for leaf necrosis. Check to see if any of the other listed symptoms can be found. If so you might have then found your answer.

K - POTASSIUM (K)

Affected plants are usually tallest and appear to be most vigorous. Necrotic spots form on lower leaves. Red stems. Leaves appear pale or yellow. Add chemical fertilizer containing K.

Mg - MAGNESIUM (Mg)

Lower leaves yellow and may even turn white while veins remain dark green. Blades die and curl upward.

Thank you azman that could very well be the problem in another situation. Thanks for the suggestion but i did mention that i have not topfed any nutrients yet. Everything is in the soil and the water is reverse osmosis

+rep for your time

Yes the top half of the stems are turning redish. Thank you very much , at this point ill bust out my literature (Jorge cervantes Indoor outdoor bible) and see if i can match more to this to determine which one exactly ...

With a K deficiency could the leaves also yellow and die on the bottom?

+rep for your help

If it helps then it was the right direction. If not, then it was a detour. What I mentioned are common causes for necrotic spotting but there are others, they are just less likely so that is not a bad place to start.

I had the same yellowing and necrosis on my plant, and I gave it a stronger dose of ferts and it stopped getting worse, so I agree with Brick Top. Try giving it a stronger feeding and see what happens after 3-4 days.
