Honestly, I don't care. I care more about how the rules are so misinterpreted, some get away while others don't. I am glad that you agree with me at least.

I ride motorcycles with some Doctor friends. We got to talking about this and it really is a matter of semantics. The real word is triage and the other word is corruption.

My friends have told me, there are triage panels at every level. And as a consumer of hard medical science, for life extension, I can tell you there are not cut and dried LABELS like this.

All the insurance companies operate like this and hospitals. But, Medicare, being a boondoggle from the beginning, is full of corruption.

Not the patients, the doctors over-bill and over-claim. It is a govt program. There is never much oversight. It is not bottom line like insurance and hospital. Medicare will fail because of this alone. It is not even very well computerized. Overcharging, double charging, faking the patients with false everything including surgery....and yes, piling on treatments when the patient has no chance.

So, you being healthy, I hope, don't see the stark horror presented to a patient and caregivers. Remember the oath. "First, do no harm."

So, real world. If I'm dying and past caring, there are still many things to "do" in the name of Science. It won't do me any good.

And anything they do will make it worse by far, for me. Yet, I have clinging relatives.

There is a case for the Panel, to help the patient.

Yes there is a "gun problem"....but not the kind you think.

Sort of ironic but did you ever consider the "gun" that forces people to pay for and send their kids to the prison day camps / public schools for kids? Why not shut the schools down and let people make up their own minds how they will educate their children?

I think its well enough documented by now the Taliban were happy to surrender UBL in return for proof of his guilt.
