Oh yeah, before I did my res cleaning, I emptied the res, then flushed my cubes with RO, 10 seconds per cube, and measured the runoff until hit .1 EC, which usually took about 2 cycles. Halfway through flower, I started adding about 15 ml of 34% h202 to my flush bucket (5 gal) because the area between the panda film and the flood tray is always humid, and with my tent between 78-84 during lights on, I figured it was better to be safe than sorry. Not sure if ill do it again this round.Thank you very much! Yes, very important insights and experience. Much appreciated.
LED lights dont emit Infra Red light unless they are specifically designed to do so. IR raises the temp on the leafs surface higher than room temp, so where 78 would be ideal (in a broad general sense) for an HPS light, the flower needs something closer to 85 for the same effect with LED. I try to ramp my humidity up from low 40s in week one of flower to 60 when the plants really start blooming, and this time I will drop it back down to 45-50 for the last few weeks to keep the dreaded Boyritis at bay. Had to chop my first grow early because I noticed the very top coala the plant directly in front of my fan had the beginnings of bud rot. Chopped that nug off and harvested all 3 plants on the spot. This time around I am running at least 2 oscillating clip fans instead of one bulky motherfucker to insure my airflow is on point.
Last but not least, I didn't flush, but after learning how unnecessary 2.4 EC was for me, in the last week I ran jacks at .6 EC. Would have done it for another 2 weeks, but like I said, I caught the early stage bud rot and had to take chop early.
