sounds like you are still low on nutes. I use 3-4 scoops per 5 gallons during flower.
I agree and I really ramped up this grow. Started to see a little nutrient burn at the end and started having calcium issues in the last few weeks of flower which I think is stunting the swell at the end on the buds. Was loading up my soil with lime but it apparently isn't enough. I'm waiting on some cal mag to come in the mail. It should arrive today
If you are growing in coco, or any other hydro method with jacks, you need a PH meter. I don't know any other way around it unless you don't care about your yields/quality. I never understand this mentality, a ph meter will pay for itself with your improved results, it's a no-brainer.
yep, milwaukee mw102, and suck it up and buy a replacement probe every year. Worth its weight in gold.
I use Blue Lab equipment. Replacement probes are about $60, I need one yearly on average.
I have a tendency to jump to the most expensive solution, so I was trying to resist the urge. Good gardening is always my goal, so I might have to go the ph meter route.
A good meter will save you money, heartache and lost yield.
I bit the bullet and just ordered the Milwaukee 102. It actually wasn't terribly expensive for a unit with a replaceable sensor. I'm looking forward to not having to interpret colored drops. Thanks for the assist from you and ttystikk. I wasn't aware of these pro meters with reasonable prices. I was worried I'd have to drop $300 min.
I think most people don't realize how much stress ph swings can put on a plant. Probably one of the most unnatural environmental factors in indoor gardening.
Nice, you won't regret it. An ec meter is helpful to dial in your dosage, but if you listen to your plants, they will tell you what they need. I used mine when i first started with Jack,s but now that i have my formula down, i haven't used it in over a year.
