Ya know, it's kinda ironic that the capital hill police gave the congress a perfect example and actual demonstration of white privilege. Police reform apparently needs to start at the top with "congressional lives matter"! 
I think this sordid little episode will help police reform along rather nicely. It is gonna help the GOP into the dust bin of history too along with the domestic disinformation system.
I'd have to say that while a painful spectacle to watch, I believe the sacking of the capital will end up as a net good. It will help with the demise of the republicans, the early removal of Trump, police reform and the setting of the national security and law enforcement communities onto the right wing extremists. The patriots have the presidency, the house and the senate and they have the horned lunatic as the republican's mascot.

The woman killed by United States Capitol Police was identified as Ashli E. Babbitt, 35, of San Diego. She was one of four who died during Wednesday's events.www.npr.org
Babbitt was a libertarian and supporter of President Trump, according to her social media posts, as well as a follower of the far-right conspiracy theory known as QAnon. The Anti-Defamation League describes QAnon as a "wide-reaching conspiracy theory popular among a range of right-wing extremists" and states the movement has "marked undertones of antisemitism and xenophobia."
Babbitt frequently retweeted far-right figures like the pro-Trump lawyer L. Lin Wood, and former national security adviser Michael Flynn.
McEntee told NPR that Babbitt was known for her outspoken political views.
"She had a personality that you either loved or hated," he wrote. "She wasn't apologetic about it ... she was proud of it, just like she was proud of her country and proud to be an American."
One less person to be arrested and prosecuted. She didn't have to die but then again, I'm not sorry.

The thing is, with these people, they don't accept the consequences of their actions. Now, being dead kind of takes her out of the equation, but you can bet that she is being lionized by those nazis and complaints of her killing is being voiced with revenge in mind. Not that I've read any of their shitposts, just, we know how they are.

You are right. Trump desecrated the actions of heroes, their graves and disparaged those that are still living who loved them. Though I think he calls them suckers.

I'm not opposed to it but I don't see how it can be done quickly enough. There isn't time and no way 2/3 of the Senate will vote to convict. Republicans will demand a dog and pony show. Impeachment and denial of office takes only a majority in the Senate. THAT can be done any time after Trump is gone.
I don't object to what the House Democrats are doing but I think it's just a show. What I'd like to see is a sharp mind in the House or Senate figure out a way for Congress to put Trump under arrest or emasculate his ability to use the powers of his office. His actions have shown that he is a threat to our country.
But follow the law.
